Maybe you need wierd people for such a weird country.
I've just read a Bill Bryson book 'Down Under' and have become very interested in Australia. He says it is possible that the Japanese Cult which let off the Nerve Gas in Tokyo, could have exploded a Nuclear Bomb on the land they own, in the middle of Australia, and that the country is so big no one noticed.
Also, March 2001's National Geographic Magazine has an article on a huge lake in Australia, Lake Eyrie, which has just appeared again in the middle of the desert after decades, and which will disappear again when it dries up in a few months.
A few years ago I went Drystone Walling for a week in England, but worked with mostly Australians. I really enjoyed their company.
One day I might visit.
