What's so good about Stargate?

Hi JayEm!

I too find the show to be one of, if not the best, scifi shows I have ever watched. Not to get into the Farscape fray, though, because I have not seen that show. I like that the characters are true to themselves most of the time. I like that they fight sometimes, since any group of people, even close friends, bicker and fight on occasion. That makes them so much more real and personal. I like that 99% of the time, the bad guy is BAD! Not some cartoon character that makes mean the first half of the show, but by the end has proven to be a lost soul, misunderstood and just waiting to reform. I like a good evil character to stay evil, thank you. Had Ra, Apophis or Hathor decided to turn over a new leaf, I might never have become such an addict!

Hi! JayEm,

Thank you for posting and welcome. I also share many of your likes about Stargate. I like the continuing characterizations of all the humans and I just adore the aliens! They are all very different and we get different views of them. I like the Unas situations, Apophis' love for Amonet (Serpent's Song is one of my favorite episodes!),Thor (and I do think he has a sense of humor!)not only because of the "I like the yellow ones" but the size of the character he chose to represent himself with in Thor's Hammer!

There are many things to see and do here. We only ask that when you post please remember SPOILER SPACE when you are outside of Season 4, no flames please, and keep your posts 'g' rated as we have children posting and reading here (and we want to keep their parents happy). The sections at the top of the page are the other universes to visit (And even I click my mouse up there). We have books to post about and Films in this genre and even Anime. Please feel free to post ~ and the more you post the sooner you can have a tiny alien as your partner ` and browse and enjoy! Again, WELCOME!
