I read somewhere that it was because he had a really bad experience at a McGyver con, with some crazed fan. so he dosn't like going to them.

but i also read that some people think that he may make a surprise appearance at GC 2001. so who knows.

BTW: I have an article out of the Sydney Herald which I am going to send a copy of to everyone. it's an interview with that god Peter Williams (not as yummy as RDA but definetly up there!). It's pretty cool.
