4.20: Entity

hey norita- re times when daniel might have blurred the ethical lines between right and wrong. off hand i can only think of one. in bloodlines when he killed the baby goaulds in the tank.

The others we also remember because they were so out of character and Daniel was under the influence of aliens..Hathor -for the gene pool for baby goa'ulds, Shyla and addiction in Need, SEASEON 4 SPOILER in UPGRADES.

Thought this epi was a bit flat. Don't get me wrong, even a less than perfect stargate epi is way better than anything else I'd wanna watch, I felt that the story was a bit thin. Their dealings with the entity didn't seem to follow their usual procedures. They didn't seem to spend much time trying to reason with it.
Thought AT's acting was excellent (under the circumstances), reckon she got a few pointers from CJ about how to act when it's your scene and you have no dialogue.
Loved the Jackisms, of course, what would an epi be without them. Well, if it's a penny for my thoughts, who wants the change?
cheers

'spose I should mention that as I couldn't right a tv show if my life depended on it, I should just shut-up and be grateful to those excellent people who provide me with my weekly sg fix. Drinks on me guys.

Was the entity a life form or just a programme? That was one point that I couldn't make out. I know the original title of the ep was to be 'Childs Play' but the entity was more insiduous than that of a child?

Is it just me or is Daniel getting more argumentitive now? He does seem to want to be right all the time, he argues against the military way without considering that the diplomatic way might not work. Teal'c also had a lot more to say in this episode, Hammond even taking his advice on SGC matters.

- You can always tell its a shippy moment about to happen when they play th "Sam and Jack" music

- Kelsi - don't mind the cutting up of my post :) But, how is it done?

I loved this episode, though was much miffed when my friend decided to ring me half way through and although I wasn't really listening to her I couldn't concentrate on the programme either, and she was on for 15 minutes. (timer on the phone).

Anyway, loved it. I wonder what'll come next though. Jack was abit obvious about his 'feelings' for Sam, don't ya think. Standing by her bedside, wanting to hold her hand, but not quite getting there (may be getting this bit wrong, remember I was on the phone for 15 minutes somewhere in between).

Well, I don't really blame Daniel for that, I totally sympathize with him. It's not like the baby goaul'ds would grow into good goaul'ds. That the Goaul'ds are Daniel only hated enemy I can sympathize with, after all they have done against humanity (and other races) and against his wife.

Well Daniel wasn't really to blame in those ocassions, he wasn't acting with a free will, so I didn't consider those times.

And another ocassion that Daniel demonstrated his caring and integrity was in Point of View where he argued for helping the Alternate Reality of the other Sam and Kowalsky.

i liked that siler had quite a few lines in this ep including that sarcastic remark when jack asked if he'd forgotten to change a lightbulb-
"not my job sir.(pause) yes sir, lightbulb. very amusing."
he said it with a completely straight face- i was cracking up.

Siler and Davis were in it more. I liked that also. Loved Janet's part, too! Love tosee them do more! So was very glad to see them. Guess next week will be Double Jeopardy!, I hope!

oh please it'll have to be.

did anyone else think that hammond knew more than he was saying when he was talking to jack about sam being a valued member of sg1? (haven't seen the ep. but got this quote from philips site, thought it sounded interesting)

This episode was great!

Siler is cool, great that he got lines.

I thought Davis was the cute guy from the Pentagon. Y'know the one with the little mole on his cheek. When did they say the tech was Davis? Help someone tell me please I'll go an' watch that ep again.!!

I know this is off topic, but does anyone know what happened to Lieutenant (I think) Graham Simmons (not sure if that's his name - I might be getting confused? The one from Message In A Bottle, who had a crush on Sam? Did he die in D+C? 'Cos I'm sure that there was someone with a similar name, altho it was DEFIN8TLY a diffrent actor.

They tend to reuse names! Will go back and check my tapes but I don't think so! As Graham was Graham Simmons (Message in a bottle) and the other was Capt.(?) Graham.

the graham that died in d&c wasn't simmons...just some nice created character that it was convenient to kill off.
we haven't seen simmons since...season 2 sometime, though he keeps popping up in fic.

Thanks skydiver! Now I don't HAVE to watch my tapes! SOB!

There is nothing wrong with watching tape upon tape of stargate jsc!

Except when my family thinks I have abandoned them!

get em hooked and make them watch too...on the topic of major graham(the one that got killed in d&d...anyone think he had a passing resemblance to daniel day lewis or is it just me?)

Just seen this episode (taped last week)

It was an interesting one, I quite liked it. AT performed well, as did RDA. I thought that Teal'c had a pretty minor role, just wandering around pointing his Zat...

any comments?
