4.22: Exodus

i guess i saw the look on his face differently..

i agree he did the right thing by leaving the guy.. he woulda "died" otherwise...

i wonder if he was thinking of junior when he told the others back on the ship that teal'c was dead... junior is pretty capable of getting teal'c through almost anything, so was jack thinking of that but maybe deciding that there was nothing that could be done, and therefore making everyone think teal'c is dead is the best thing (like with Daniel in... shoot, cant remember the name, but you know which one i'm talking about...when a-man and klorel come to earth..)

You're thinking of 'Serpent's Lair'. I don't think Jack was thinking along the lines of 'there was nothing that could be done' ... [well, if you're thinking in the sense that he's seen enough battle wounds to *know* that Daniel was not a 'save']... that he let the others think Daniel was dead. I believe in his mind Daniel *was* dead, an expended team member. That's why all it took was a 'look' and his comment to Sam and Teal'c that 'Daniel's staying behind' to convey the info. The other two wrote him off at that moment also. It's the only way to cope and go on. In the middle of a fire fight is not the time to have 'I wonder' thoughts.

I have no doubt that in the back of his head he was hoping 'Junior' was gonna bail Teal'c out, but he really had no way of knowing his partner's condition. He said as much to Sam, Jacob and Daniel on the ha-tak when he said that Teal'c might be dead.

I'll tell you ... the summer just isn't close enough for me. I want to know what happens... :}

i can't wait until summer!!! it's too long.

we should start a thread what will you do now that stargate is not on every week WWYDN....

btw what happened to everyones aliens????

Aliens...

Well, I know that SysAdmin and TechGod Extrodinare Padders had some code adjustments he needed to do. We might be right in the middle of them.

Let's hang out and see what happens next. Kind of our own private 'Area 51'. :}

dunno...mine are blue...wonder if i should give them mouth or mouth or something <G>

Loved this episode too. I thought it did start out slowly, but then it just kept accellerating.. wonderful Jack-isms. "Shotgun!" LOL!

In that UK magazine (TV Zone? TZone?) that did the special Stargate issue last summer, there was a mention by Brad Wright that they were thinking (in season 4) of introducing another powerful alien race in another galaxy "that would show the Asgard aren't the strongest thing out there" .. . and this was long after we'd met the replicators. I'm hoping that we meet the Furlings or the Ancients; I hope the writers don't take the easy way out and just have our buddies in the Asgard galaxy.

If Jack doesn't bring that ha'tak ship home with him, there's gonna be hell to pay, ya think??

And what did happen to Cronus' jaffas? Hmmm?

And yes, skydiver, sure did get that Star Wars joke . . . did you notice what looked suspiciously like the skeleton of a sandworm, too? Just like in Star Wars: NH.

One of the best things about Stargate, I think, is that the writers know that the viewers have a memory. It's great to have old threads picked up again and continued. I've been waiting all season for Tanith to return!

Anyone know a definite air-date for Season 5 on Showtime? Arg, months of no new Stargate!

traditionally the next season will premiere the last friday in june...which is WAY too long away.

yeah i noticed the skeleton in the sand...i swear if any aliens they encounted wear a helmet and breathe heavy i'm gonna drive to vancouver and whump them on the head!

ewoks would be cute though...maybe jawas...just not...what the heck was that nattering fool in the prequel movie...big ears that talked nonsense...if it even looks like him i'm gonna scream!

Skydiver, I am *so* not going to do 'mouth to breathing-orifice' on your aliens. Even being a Respiratory Therapist as one of my career fields, that's going a bit too far. :}

oooooooohhhhh oooooookkkkkk...
maybe they're anaerobic aliens...or they've been eating too much blue jello?

no it is jelly
tongue.gif
theres no such thing as jello in the English language ;)

i guess jelly to you folks means jam to us. confusing aint it?

What things are

a flavored gelatine dessert = Jello

jelly = a clear fruit spread made of juice, pectin and sugar = no fruit pulp

jam = a spread made of fruit, usually sugar and sometimes pectin that include fruit pump.

those both sound like jam to me :D

different

Jelly uses only the juice and is clear or fairly translucent.

Jam uses fruit pump and is totally opaque.

Probably a difference only a cook would be concerned with. :}

kinda like 'lift' & 'boot' and whinging instead of whining...

picking up on that slang in one sure way to tell if you're reading an american fic or aussie, brit or other country written fic...that and the extra letters y'all tend to toss into words...

letters

Always figured out the commonwealth neations must have a better budget 'coz you can afford all those extra vowels. 'U''s especially.

:D
