As Cat said before we are the only gals who post on the aussie forum (except for jsc who pops round occasionally from the USA to say hi), you'll also soon realise that Cat and I are the only SANE people here!!!haha

NEways, I'm Shelby! I'm 17 and I live in your Nation's Capital (Go Canberra, Go Canberra!!!).
I went to BOBW XI earlier this month and it was FANTASTIC. I'll proably go in October but I'm waiting to see who's going to be there.

Everyone here is pretty cool, and as JAD said, when you start posting you just can't stop. We're all a really friendly bunch (there's only about 7 of us - but we have more posts than all the other countries - somthing that we're VERY proud of by the way).

Unlike JAD and Marty I don't have much Stargate merchandise so I am INSANELY JEALOUS!!!!

my stargate cds are on order. huh, so who many stargate original aughtographed photos do you have . hmm lets see what i have.

i season 1 photo a/graphed by peter williams and chris judge,
1 tery rothery photo, authographed in a gold pen,
then i have a set of 3 pre-season photos, 2 a3 framed posters, season 1 video release poster. plus, vids books, etc. shall i go on?

im ordering some new stuff, which i will tell all soon, but i have the calculator (thanks buddy) heaps of BOBW stargate convention videos, stargate magnets, the jaffa emblem that tealc wears (tranfers), more let me think on it.

I almost got my hands on a season one video release poster from the owner of this small dvd and vid store. I asked him if I could by it but he said it wasn't for sale. I practicaly got down on my hands and knees and begged him for it, I even offered him a very nice amount of cash, but he still said no. The BA$TARD!!!! I now no longer by my SG-1 vids from him in protest. His are $1 cheaper than anywhere else but I don't care, he can go jump off a cliff. It's not like he's even a fan of the show cos I asked him if he watched it and he said no.

I got my SG-1 poster from the con laminated last week. It's huge. A0 size. Cost me $25 for lamination but it's worth it, cos I don't want it to get wrecked.

As to my business, I'm a lawyer. But I saw the light and got out of private practice a while ago. These days, I'm a specialist lawyer consulting to other lawyers (my only clients are lawyers) about how much they can charge after their client either wins or loses a court case.

It sounds BORING, doesn't it? But I love it, I work from home, I have flexible hours. I loved being a lawyer but I wanted to be at home when the kids were little and now they're at school I work full time and have a wonderful time.

BUT it means i can go to vancouver (which I love and where I'm going again in a couple of years, hopefully to gatecon) and I have enough money to buy whatever stargate stuff I want whenever I want - nyah nyah nyah

So, there you go, that's a brief explanation.

did you 3 all get every season one video? i missed out on 1.4 and 1.7 but lukily enough padders helped me out a bit and shipped them over to me from the UK (nice fellow isn't he?)

Hey Cat, cool job, sounds interesting.

I don't have any of the s1 vids
I didn't watch SG when they were out and by the time I had become hooked on the show it was too late.
But I have the DVD and a few from Gamma Quad, so it's all okay.

A0 poster size is really huge. I got it for free from the con. Everyone who attended got one. It's about 1m wide by about 1.5m length. It's of a pretty common pic that you can find on showtimeonline. It's got part of the gate on this starry background and the cast are inside the gate with Hammond on top, then Teal'c, Sam and Daniel. RDA is at the front. Down the bottom it says Stargate SG-1 in this cool green and then the actors names.
