july? what's happening in july?

cat, are you a country music freak??

cat and her family are going sking and they might stop in canberra on the way. so allan and i can meet up with her.

ahh!! i thought that the con might have got moved a few months forward.....
well cat, if you decide to come 1500 km west and pass by a city/town called whyalla your welcome to stay :)

i went skiiing by canberra about 6 years ago, we skied at Mt Blue Cow it was the first time i'd ever seen snow

ive only seen snow once in my life, and i only live about 20minutes drive from sheffield where it does snow. pathetic aye

we only live an hour and a half from the snow. haven't been up there in ages though. it's better in the summer when there is no snow cos you can go on the most amazing bush walks. it's really nice country up there. i climbed to the top of kusziusco last year. awesome sight. we were also up there when the threadbo thing happened, except we weren't near that area. you should of seen the huge hole in the ground after they cleared away all the ruble from the ski lodges. it was massive, you could see where the whole road fell away.

okay, BIG BREATH..........

I hate country music. I live here but i go away during the festival.

Tamworth is 400 k north west of sydney on the new england highway which is the inland link between sydney and brisbane.

and, yes, we are going skiing in july and i was saying to allan that we'd probably spend some time in canberra on the way down because we like canberra and so that we can go to questacon ('cause we can get in for nothing) and other places. allan said he had never taken his kids to questacon and what a good idea if we met up there. so then i mentioned it to shelby. et voila!! it looks like we three will get together in july in canberra and then again at bobw in october (hopefully allan will be back and can go too)

if only meeting up in vancouver was an option :D :D

well i live about..... miles and miles from the snow.... but i live closer to the sea than shelby :)

questacon?

national science museum. it's interactive. brilliant stuff and good fun

marty, you don't know what your missinf if you've never been to questacon. it's soooooo cool!!! there's all these realy fun things to do there.
I only live an hours drive from the sea. it's not that far. that's what i like about canberra. an hour to the sea, an hour to the snow, 3 hours to sydney, 8 hours to melbourne. it's pretty central to everything important.

....i wish vancouver was closer to australia :(

is that the science and investigator museaum thing at canberra, is that the questacon thingo? when i was four i went there, it was really quite interesting especially some earthquake machine!!

right at the end is there this circular bit, that yu walk down?

sounds about right - a big circular ramp thing that connects all the floors - great for kids to run down!

YES YES YES!!! AND I WAS ONE OF THOSE KIDS RUNNING A MUCK!!!!

those kind of places you always think are gonna be dumb, but it was awesome!!!

awesome if your a nine year old :rolly2: :rolly2: :rolly2:

not really, if i had the chance i would like to go and try out all the cool sh*t they have!

Getting back on topic. I visited BOBW site yesterday and they say that guest list will be announced shortly. I hope they do it soon I'm getting really anxious.
