kel sha,

what's the material of the goa'uld armor suit (is there a special expressen for that whole suit ??) and what's the weight of that "suit" ?

kree sha

:( I'm not sure about the material but I guess the suit weighs quite a lot!:D

and it must be metallic...just cause of all those nice 'ping' sound effects that get stuck in the show;)

Not too good against SG-1 michine guns, I've noticed tho...

kel sha,

yep - think we should upgrade the material of our armours .... :)

but it seems to be only the front side is woundable by the MG's from the tau'ri ..
'cos in COTG teal'c turned back and was able to protect himself from the bullets of the tau'ri ..

kree sha

The Taur'ie will fall at the hands of the Gou'ld!! (NOT!!!  :rolly2: )

Well, they already have done in several Alternate Realities... Mwahahahaha!

Well......I am a self confessed Goa'uld supporter..... even kelsi thinks I might have a symbiote after she saw my photo!

 :naughty:

I think that the armour worn by the Jaffa is impractical. It would probably be made of some sort of light metal or chain mail...... and might have been originally developed to withstand blasts from Goa'uld weaponry rather than the standard projectile weapons of the Tau'ri. Remember that the human military from earth have only been the picture for a few years and up to now the Goa'uld have considered that the Tau'ri are to underdeveloped to have effective weapons against superior technology.

Despite my support for my fellow nasties, I think that human military uniforms are much more practical, being lightweight and easier to blend into the scenary. If they want to stop live rounds from impacting too seriously they could use flak jackets. I've worn these before in Northern Ireland and the Gulf and they're lightweight and fairly effective. (Not, of course if you faced a barrage of fire from many weapons though!)

I've been under fire AND had a bullet put a nick in me flak jacket. The force of the round knocked me backwards, but didn't penetrate.

NOT an experience I would strongly recommend as fun!

:D :D

Don't worry, I won't try it for fun!

Hehe, that just proves you've got a symbiote, but the military probly just told you to say you didn't get too badly hurt, whereas you were actually in a coma, while the symbiote healed you, and that's the reason you like the Goa'uld, 'cos they saved your life.

Am I getting carried away?

I think I'll write a fic bout you and your travels, Anni! And your symbiote of course! :aliengray :D

Of course......... haven't you ever heard the term 'need to know'? I am really the British Army's secret weapon against alien invasion.

:rolly2:  :D

Please do immortalise me kelsi....... I would just love to see a story about 'Anni and her symbiote', but of course, if I tell you my symbiote's name I'll have to kill you!

:D :D

Kill me? Huh, my symbiote's no worse than yours! Sure, go ahead and try, but I have friends in high places, and they have a sarcouphagus as well! :alienooh: :aliengray

Sarcophagus smophagus........ so do mine have one, so whaaaaah!

:p :p :D

kel sha,

anni are u sure that ur government isn't already trading with aliens ? ;) ;)

kree sha

Kel sha First Prime of Apophis....

Which earth government are you referring to?

:D

Not that it matters much. Nothing would surprise me with governments these days!

It wouldn't even surprise me if they'd found the Stargate

;) :D :D

kel sha,

u really think that the stargate stories are completely fictitious ?? ;) :p :aliengray

to the trading question ...
perhaps the american or the russian government ... nothing is impossible ;) :p

kree sha

Kel Sha......

Honestly? No I find nothing impossible to believe. I can quite see the bloody Yanks finding something like that and bimbling through it like a bunch of horrible tourists, stepping on alien toes and a character like Jack majorly annoying everyone with his particular brand of 'non-diplomacy'. Having served as a member of the British Armed Forces many times with the US forces I wasn't particularly impressed on the whole, although there were individuals who were just as unimpressed with their own troops as the Brits were!

In the Gulf I used to be the armed escort for senior ranking personnel when they went to visit their units in the desert. We were given grid references for Allied positions and particularly warned not to approach the US forces without prior warning because they were apt to be a little 'trigger happy'. In fact the US Marine Corps nearly fired on us once when our vehicle was stuck after some rain in the desert. They only came to assist us because when they were observing us from their firing point I took my helmet off to reveal blonde hair and they decided that we were probably not enemy troops! Our vehicle was clearly marked with Allied markings.

What that says about them, I am not sure.....

I lost a couple of my friends in the 'friendly fire' incident when the USAF pilot fired on two armoured personnel carriers with Brit soldiers from the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers on board, despite the fact that the vehicles were clearly marked. Apparently the pilot just fancied a spot of target practice. I have never quite forgiven the USAF for that..... because to everyone involved it was quite clearly a negligent act.

Please don't think that I don't like Americans however, I have many dear friends who are from that part of the world. I just have extreme reservations about the way and why their government and military do things.

Kree sha.........

the jaffa aren't supposed to be stealthy. they're posing as the army of the gods, right? they need to be noticed. their suits are meant to stand out, and hopefully discourage any "primitive" rebels from attacking.

put an advanced force shield to this combination and "non-primitive" races will not attack, too ;)

in summary with wars, environmental destruction, slavery in the past -- can we call the tau'ri "non-primitive" ?

the tau'ri are only the people of earth, right? anyway, i guess we can, because we're (one of) the only people that challenge the goa'uld. all the races the goa'uld still have power over haven't had a chance to develop.
don't ask me what my point is because i dont know.
