I read a and thouroughly enjoyed a couple dozen of his novels thirty odd years ago. Shortly after the eighth book of the Incarnations of Immortality book came along, I got it and a few others of his I hadn't read, including "Ghost" and "Firely." None of them did anything for me. Anthony seems to build masterpieces of marshmallow fluff and whipped cream. They look pretty and can even satisfy in certain ways, but there's no real substance.
