Energy Source

Just to throw another spanner in the works... what about when the Stargate is turned by hand? Where was the power coming from then?
 
the inner ring of the stargate is for manual dialing: it's for stargates without a dhd. i really have no idea how the stargate's powered then. maybe the goa'uld did something behind their slave's backs to power it.
But that is a very good point.

We have seen that (e.g. "Nemesis") that a gate stores sufficient charge for a single out-going wormhole. :eek7: However, we have also seen many episodes ("Torment of Tantalus", "1969, ""New Ground" etc.) where they have to wire up some electric or naq reactor power source for a wormhole. :errrr:
