only four movies and then the episodes from the series are also out on video..or at least some of them are..it would be a good idea to watch them all...then you would have something else to talk about on the Highlander forum other than my egotistical muse, who has nothing to do with Highlander other than the one episode that Nick Lea was in...

okay - Highlander movie primer - (US releases)

Highlander - released 1986 - orig w/ Connor the Man! (watch this one only if you can't find the next one!)

Highlander the Director's Cut -- released 1996 (i think) - original w/ all the stuff put back in that the idiot editors took out when they released the above mentioned version in the US, why? b/c they were MORONS! Watch this version


Highlander II - The Quickening -- released 1992 - the stupid version that says they're from the planet Zeist - DON'T watch this version


Highlander II - The Renegade Version -- released ???? - the better version -- at least says they're from THIS planet -- watch this version


Highlander III - The Final Dimension -- released 1995-ish -- the 3rd movie that completely ignores anything from the 2nd one - the plot stinks, but the effects are really cool!

Highlander III - The Sorcerer -- released ??? -- i don't think this version has been released in the US -- as far as i know there isn't a lot of difference btwn this one and the above - just some score changes and such --- but all in all the same movie -- you'll probably only be able to find "The Final Dimension" so rent that one

Highlander: Endgame -- released 2000 -- who the f*** cares? this movie sucked worse that Highlander II -- nothing good happens in this movie except Methos has 2 minutes of dialogue in front of a really cool looking house -- don't bother watching this one again -

You might also find something called:
Highlander: The Gathering -- this is 2 eps of Highlander the Series - "The Gathering" and that ep w/ that chic who's pissed at Duncan b/c he killed her husband - well, she thinks he did -- (don't recall the title, but that's okay - just know it's from season 1 -- Revenge of the Sword) -- so - don't rent this unless you don't have a copy of "The Gathering" and are just absolutely itching to see Christopher again.


So, just to summarize:

Only rent the following: Highlander: Director's Cut; Highlander II: The Renegade Version; Highlander III: The Final Dimension (sometimes titled Director's Cut)

forget about everything else.
