Wolf SG3

You can get a hotel for around £45.00 a nigt from place like... Comfort Inn... Trust House Forty.. Places like that...

Stuff to buy.....ummmmm, merchandise

There is always a lot of stuff to buy at conventions...but the thing about SG-1 is that there isn't much about in the uk...@ the last sg con, there were only 2 tee shirts (with a very dodgy picture of AT which DID NOT do her justice!) soundtracks, books, and some nik naks. the coolest thing was a full scale staff weapon, but it was expensive. the same stall (cobra bay) were going to have some zat guns, but didnt get them in time. I'm surprised that no one has cottened on the uniforms in the show...there is sooo much potential, and (chuckles the ferengi) so much profit to be made!
The best thing last time was the auction...I bid for lots of stuff, but was outbid every time. sigh.
Its going to be lots of fun!!!!!!!!!!:aliengray

Well I'm hoping to make it, however, it seems too far away.

Does anyone know when the tickets are on sale or if there is any cheap and cheerfuly accommodation nearby.

Ta much, all information gratefully received.

hi, I am new here and I just love SG1.

It's the first time I heard of the Stargate Convention and would just love to go. I live in London so it would be quite easy for me to get to Heathrow by the underground.

Would the more experienced fans please tell me what are available in the convention other than the goodies? Also did A.T. ever been to a SG convention in the UK? I kind of like her as well.

Conventions are a great place ... u will find loads to do there will ... I am not sure who exactly is attending SG3 yet... but if you keep your eye on the Wolf site it will tell ya more details soon... I will be attanding Wolf 3 aswell.. See ya out there..

Dionysus, Welcome!

Dionysus, hi!

Several of the stars have agreed to guest pending their schedules. The addy for more information is:

http://www.wolfevents.co.uk

Hope you get to go and enjoy it. Have heard it was a lot of fun!

Well, sigh......I have decided to give in and go to see what all the fuss is about. I have sent for my ticket, but have no intention of travelling from Fleet in Hampshire to Heathrow and back during that weekend, so I will contact the actual hotel and see if I can get a room.

I understand there's some kind of disco orsomething and that the cocktail party is sold out. That's okay though, I never did go for cocktail parties much. And disco's? I'm not sure the world is quite ready for the sight of me lumbering around the dance floor!

I might give everyone there a good laugh though.

After all, I'm only here to entertain the troops!

A.T has been to the last two conventions at least! She is lovely and does a wonderful british accent (shes an essex girl). I don't think she is going to the next one, but then no one knew j.r bourne (sorry if i spelt it wrong) would be at the last one...it was a great surprise!!
Whe the guests arn't chatting to us eager fans, there are usually episodes to watch. It would be great if they could bring a blooper tape with them at the next con, they are always fun:rolly2:
Outside of the main hall, there are always people mingling, and I find one of the best ways to make new mates is in the endless autograph queue. The dealers room is my favorite bit, however. :D
There will be parties, oh yes there will be...if you feel like dressing up as something exotic then go for it, or to blend in, cammo gear comes cheap from your nearest army surpluss and there are always plenty of patches to buy in the dealers room.
Food wise....bring some of your own as the prices at the con are a rip off. McDs is just round the cormer, as is a petrol station.
There we go!!!! Hope that wasn't too much info!!

You mean like at the Star Trek conventions when they go dressed as Klingons, or Mr Spock?

I still have camouflage gear from being in the army, but I reckon its the wrong army and I can't honestly see myself in it again!

Of course I could wear something really awful, garish and naff, and masquerade as a Goa'uld!!

LOL.... trek conventions are great... the last one i went to was in docks in London... was great....

I would not dress up though.... might were my pixie boots though...LOL

You're going as a pixie?

Okay, so you'll be easy to spot in a crowd then. I'll be fairly easy to spot too, just look for a short dumpy blonde with very green eyes looking as though she is wondering how she got there!

  :wink2:

Go as a Goa'uld.... and don't tell anybody.... and theywon't know the difference until your eyes glow! Just have a great time... So I guess I am the last great holdout!. Good luck, Anni.... Hope you enjoy the experience!

Thanks JSC....... Now you've made me feel as though I have deserted you! LOL

I have mixed feelings about the whole thing really. I have never ever been to such an event, but I am very curious to see what goes on. I am not about to join the general mass of drooling fans!!

I will, of course, go as a Goa'uld. My best friend Janine once told me that my eyes were so green they mesmerised her when we talked! Her husband laughed so much he fell off the chair when she said that. He said the look on my face was priceless!

So with green mesmerising eyes, I could probably pass as a Goa'uld!

  :laugh2: :laugh2:

Don't worry I don't feel deserted.... Have too much going on here lately with brother in law and hospitals! I am sure you know the drill....DARN IT! Just have a grat time and keep them guessing!

Oh Sweetie, I thought there might be something wrong. Is he okay? I must admit I have not been terribly good over the past week myself. Terrible headaches for some reason, I even had to stay off work, which is unusual for me I'm usually there whether I feel bad or not. And very tired. But then with no immune system to speak of and chronic fatigue syndrome brought on by autoimmune illness (rheuamtoid arthritis), I guess feeling tired is par for the course.

I will try to have a good time in November. Funnily enough I am in Vancouver just after the Gatecon, for a job interview and a conference. I probably could have got them to reschedule the job interview to around the convention dates, but the conference would have been a different story. I am, however, hoping to get a look at the place.

At any rate I'll give you a full report on the conference and of course will let you in on any gossip I might hear!

If you want more of the book just say and I will send it, but you probably have more than enough on your plate right now.

;) :rolly2: :smiliea:

Oops sorry JSC, meant to say I would tell you the gossip from the convention, not the conference. I doubt very much if you'd be interested in a bunch of computer and networks engineering gossip!

:D
