So what do people think is hapeneing on DS9 as we speak....

It can either be serious or humorous....

I reckon since odo has returned to his people, quark is well and truley getting up to things... LOL

Hi Neo

Well, I haven't read any of them, but I hear that there are several ST: DS9 paperbacks out that are centered on DS9 post-Sisko. I gather that there's a new Captain, but I'm not sure how the paperbacks deal with the original DS9 characters.

It might be something interesting to check out.

little star :star:

Sorry i meant this thread to be a way for us to place what we think is happening after the end of the last season.. Sorry i did not explain what i meant...

ROTFLMAO!

Neo... I've been actually thinking about this very thing... especially now that Sisko is gone. I'll give it some serious thought and get back to you. :D

Thanks... I thought no one was gonna play with me in here...LOL

Well... now that the war is over... and Kai Winn is dead...

There's a new Kai... so a lot is going to depend on whether Bajor wants to be a part of the Federation or not... if they didn't, Kira is probably in charge of the whole of DS9... if they did, a new Star Fleet captain/commandor/whoever is probably there... they probably sent a new one anyway... since the doctor and Ezri stayed.

Cassidy would have given birth by now... do we think Cassidy & Jack are still on DS9? Probably, mainly in hope that Ben might pop up again.

Quark is probably having a hayday without Odo around... although I'm sure a pretty strict eye is still being kept on him. But when you don't have someone in charge of security who could turn themselves into your shirt if they wanted to, it's probably a lot easier to get away with stuff. LOL

Hmm... I'll keep posting as I think of things.

I wonder if Morn has stopped talking everyone's ears off yet?

:D

And has all the dominion been stilled, so to speak, or is the gamma quadrent still full of plotting changellings? Has Odo's mentality worn off on all of them? Probably just those in the alpha quadrent... Maybe the war isn't over yet... maybe it's right back where they started... and what about the prophets/worm hole aliens?

I want them to make a DS9 movie!!! (With Avery Brooks as Sisko.)

Well some interesting thoughts there... MMMM what do you think the cardasians will be doing... rebuilding there society... how do you think the Klingons are behaving wiht starfleet,...

I too want a DS9 movie with Avery in the captains chair...

Oh... I'm sure the Cardasians are up to the same ol' same ol'... rebuilding their empire and causing trouble. :D

Hadn't thought about the Klingons... I have no idea... hmmm... will have to think about that one.

There are still rumors - every once in a while - of a DS9 movie... but the 7 of 9 plot seems to be the chosen one at the moment to follow in the footsteps of STX.

mmm not sure i like the idea of a 7 of 9 movie... i have strong opinions of her and the way they portray her...

And how much of the mystery has been removed from the borg... as soon as the borg got a face they became a lot less scary to me.

But 7 of 9 is popular... and the studios are only looking for $$ signs... a DS9 movie would be a million times more interesting.

Well i think we all want to see a DS9 Movie... just wish the guy and girls a PAramount would listen to us..

newbie question: where does voyager fit into ds9's timeline?

that borg point is interesting, it is something they are going to have to come up with in the next series, the "scary race". The dominion are scary do a degree because of how they can get to earth and mimic anybody but no where near as terrifying as the borg. But the mystery behind the borg is sort of gone and they have been shown to be very much beatable (and even negoitable with) so what will the next series find as their nemesis... the borg is the opposite to the ideas behind the federation, they will find it hard to design a different "culture" that will be as effective a "bad guy". As the guys who make the james bond movies always say, it is making the convincing baddies that is always the hardest!

DS9 and Voyager are set in the same timeline.. As in the pilot episode Voyager left from DS9. Harry Kim was nearly conned by Quark... LOL

AS for the Borg they are not that scary as they were when we first met them.. There does not seem to be a big Baddie around at the moment... the Dominion was beat.. maybe they could come back.. ??

I belive that the next Movie is based around the romulans.. so who knows they could come back and be bigger ad better...

I also heard that they were going to either take a big step in the future or a step back into the past for the new series... so if they go back, the borg is still unknown to the characters so they could still pose a threat... although we'll all just yawn at them... but only the gods know what's in the future... who knows what super race of baddies might exist... or even what the borg might become.

Very true... who knows what the future holds... it certainly seems like the next series is gonna be a timeship named enterprise

so long it is in the future!

I think they will do somethng quite different with it really, although i really liked Voyager lots didn't - they will be looking something to beat it i think - elements of farscape in it wouldn't be a bad thing.

Never really watched frascape... any good... whats it about ??

check out the farscape section ;) it is brilliant, probably my favourite sci-fi show, maybe even beating stargate... about a guy who got chucked into another dimension in space, on board a ship.. a living ship (ok now i am repeating the intro for the show!!!!).. but that bascially explains it.... amazing characters, great plots, cool action it is really good.

bbc it is on, sci-fi is showing repeats at the moment of series 1 i think. Series 1 and some of 2 are out on dvd.
