I watched the movie and then cotg yesterday. it's only the second I've seen the movie and i noticed alot of inconsistencies, but it's still pretty awesome. anyone else think that in cotg their trying to do the kurt russel hair with rda. but it dosn't work so they don't do it in any of the other eps after that.
I can;t even remember the start of Pretence. It was the first ep I ever saw and haven't seen it since then. I have to wait till the vid is released in a few weeks.
I agree, the close ups of the Gate are absolutly amazing. I bet the space shots from Exodus would look pretty awesome as well. And the space sequences from JM.

Yeah, Dad and I were channel surfing one night last year and we came across stargate. we'd never watched it before. I had seen the movie so i had a vague idea of what the show was, but never watched it before. so we sat there and watched Pretence. mind you we didn't understand much of it, especailly the bits when skarra/klorel talked (we were like "what the hell???), but we really enjoyed it, so we watched it the week after and haven't stopped since. After Nemesis aired we went back and rented all the ep before Pretence and caught up. I got addicted and the rest is history.
I love it when the star explodes in Matter of Time. That is my favourite Stargate ep. 'The explosion at the end of Serpents Lair looks pretty awesome, Heur'r force sheild in Secrets also looks realy good.

You know I hated Stargate, couldn't stand it cause it took the place of some other show when it first came on... but then one day, I saw the ad for The devil You know (yes, I began watching that far through!!)....thought alright, i'll just watch it this once, and see. I didn't understand much of it, so i watched the next week and the week after kind of half heartedly, cause there was nothing else on... but then i watched another ep, and suddenly, I began to enjoy it, because i picked up on the more subtle constant jokes, things like rda's constant unhumourus remarks, sam's technobabble (which was part of the reason I began watching, cause i love astrophysics and want a career in it) and Daniel's most gorgousness (or however you spell it)....and Tealc!! I love Tealc!!!!!!!!!!..........Then..... i was hooked.
You know, i was htinking about this forum the other day, and all of a sudden it popped into my head that we are like AA, a therapy for stargate addicts... you know Stargateaholics anonymos? And then i thought...don't think that!!!! It just makes it sadder!

And in response to the two reply's that suddenly appeared on the bottom of my screen....
From what I've seen of series one... that is not much... it seems to be more the action side of things, not the emotional things like season three/four.
My fav so far would probably have to be Crystal Skull and Divide and Conquer. i liked In the line of Duty as well, but I haven't seen many eps like the ones that have hathor in them, or the later half of season one and season two, I would like to see solitudes ( I am a bit of a shipper!!!! can you guess by the eps i'm listing??) and I am really looking forward to seeing Entity and also 2010.
I still have only really seen half of all the eps... if that.

Don't worry shelby, I'm only kidding when i say we are sad....Of course we arent sad!! This is stargate!!!! Although I had to wonder when the other day i sat down and watched Tv for 2 hours straight.....just to see a stargate ad....and i didn't even see one!
The reason why i love stargate so much is because unlike other Sci fi shows...SG is much more realistic, and it opens us up to so many possibilities. Anybody in this world (and I hope no one takes offense at this) who truly believes that earth is soilitary, and that we are the only intelligent life forms in the universe, is quite frankly, single minded and very ignorant. i also love SG because Astrophysics and cosmology is what I want to do... and also the military....call it coincedence, but before SG (Ha ha, this is how things are termed these days, before Stargate BSG, and after Stargate, ASG!!!) I couldn't decide between Science or the Air force/navy, and after seeing stargate and checking things out... i discovered I can do both!
Anyway, that's jsut my lunchtime philosophy.

I have seen from "the enemy within" up to "the torment of tantulus", all of which were screened on TV last year after watergate, but they never showed "children of the gods", and the video stores i've looked at don't have it. But i'm still looking...I'll never give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have seen the stargate movie 3 times... does that count????
