You Know You've Been Watching Too Much Stargate When ...

you're listening to A Kind of Magic by Queen and you hear Princes of the Universe and your first thought is how it would be a good theme song for the System Lords. ;)

i was at the hospital and a patient was looking at an old newsweek magazine. there was a picture of an injured man on the cover (i think it was one of the injured sailors from the terrorist attack in october) anyway, the first thing i thought of was "hey, that kinda looks like jack..."
 
you drive around town noticing that you have a cheyenne, jackson, fraizer, davis, carter streets...and you wonder where the rest are.

or you hear the song daniel my brother and think of a certain long haired archaeologist

or you actually learn how to spell sarcophagus so you can do it right in the fic
 
you look at a box of jaffa cakes
and it's not spongy choc you think
about. sad i know. peachy
 
this is sadder. we went out to eat at a cafeteria type place and they had blue jello and i just had to have some.
then when i was eating it i kept waiting to hear dom deluise...i swear i did. if a fat guy had walked by in a bright robe i woulda lost it.

The Hearts game on your computer has your opponents down as Teal'c, Jack, and Daniel (and Teal'c usually wins ;)).

When you need names to use in examples for teaching you use Jack, Sam and Daniel.
(Haven't had the courage to use Teal'c yet!)

When you sit in your Classics lesson thinking what cool gods you can write about next, or trying to find a reason for Daniel to call a puppy Issa...
 
When you have the desire to raise one eyebrow and say "I have nothing to apologise for" when your manager wonders who threw the paperball at his head. (Then you remember that he doesn't watch Stargate and wouldn't know what you were doing, and you also remember that you'd look really stupid too).....sigh....work is soooooooo dull.
 
When you're watching the Discovery Channel about the pyramids, and they start discussing Osiris and the constellation Orion, telling you that, at its lowest point, it really goes back to over 10,000 years ago, and you think, "Daniel was right."

you are at the mall with your nephew and santa ask you what you want for christmas and you answered "tealc" and your nephew rolls his eyes and groan "auntie, he not a real person".(he knows my fetish about tealc :)
 
Do any of you know there are some great sites for this type of thing? One, I know this from a site so its not entirly original is, 'YBWTMSW - You start looking for a DHD every time you enter a new place'. Not the best but I can't think of any more. Coffecup's point reminded me of something: Remember on 'Prisoners' where Jack calls Daniel 'Danny-boy'? (He does, I saw that a while back, and I remember) Well, my little sister heard this, and now, at every avalible opportunity, calls ME Danny-boy! Uuggh! Not even is it extremly annoying when my Mum has no idea of what we're on about, but, 'boy' - I'm female!
