When watching programmes on ancient Egypt (and there have been several recently on Ch4 in UK) you compare all the archeologists to Daniel and wonder why they are a) a lot older and b) way way more geeky than Daniel ever managed to be.

Also the three little brass pyramids you got when you were in Egypt are now identified as Apophis' mother ship and fleet.

I'll let you know if I can get a Teal'c reference into a maths class.

the exceedingly obvious: o for cryin out loud, sweet and even holy hannah have crept into your speech.

other sci-fi shows are even more interesting when sg cast or guests are in them.
recently i watched an eps of outer limits that had marty in it...kept waiting for his eyes to glow...

I know that feeling . . .

Or when your 10 years old son draws a picture of an elephant that doesn't turn out quite right much to his disappointment. So, you say it's an alien elephant discovered by SG-1 on P3X 989 and he's really happy!

Yes, but did you know that it really was an elephant found on P3X-989 by SG-1 and your won was just testing your Stargate knowledge?

here are a few really lame ones i thought up the other day...
1. You get a tattoo of the Earth point of Origon symbol.
2. You don't eat any cake offered to you by strange women for fear that it may be a marriage cake.
3. You spend all day wondering who actually built the Stargate system.
4. You call your doctor's office the Infirmary.
5. You try to alter your friends memories when they are asleep to see if you can make them Zaytarks.
6. You start to wear alot more army green in your wardrobe.

Mything, I was making it up. Besides, I know more about stargate than he does. :)

Oh, when my little sister (wannabe sci-fi fan), starts 'drawing' on the misted-up car windows, and asks me how to draw the Eath Origin symbol properly! The look my sister gave me when I obliged....
She also has a habit, whenever we've been watching, to come out with odd quotes, or to get me to do particular dialouges with her, and makes 'inconspicuous' gestures to me when she *thinks* she's made a reference to the show.

...when your son comes into the room and wonders why the VCR isn't taping while your watching the show.

...when your son's teacher asks him to draw a pattern on a piece of graph paper and you show him on the tape, Daniel's little '7 points in space' drawing.

...when you look at England's Millenium Wheel and see a giant Stargate instead.

Cheers,

when you get the urge to shout
KREE especially to people in shop
queue's. or when the kid's are
acting up

When your son and his friend exhange boxing gloves for Christmas and your son wants a "head protector like Jack wears when he boxes Teal'c" gees!

When you pass a hairdressing salon named 'Carters' and go...
'Nah.'
And then people look at you....

i must admit to thinking of
a carter hairdo. i also find
myself threatening to cut people
out of the loop..peachy

When you make plans to meet friends somewhere and ask what the coordinates are for the location.

Have a Great Season, People!

Love the lasts posts! Coordinates...HEE HEE do they give you six points and point of origin or longitude and latitude?

You find yourself playing your son's Pokemon game and you name your trainer "Jack", Professor Oak's nephew "Apophis", and all Jack's little Pokemon after the other characters from the show. ;)

Cheers,
