Showtime changed their ad for season5

Skull cap? Different names for the same thing then. Skull cap, Dew-rag, do rag! Any more names out there?

"You know, evil comes in many forms, whether it be a man eating cow or Joseph Stalin. But you can't let the package hide the pudding. Evil is just plain bad. You don't cotton to it. You have to smack it in the nose with the rolled up newspaper of justice. Bad dog! Bad dog! --The Tick."

Not to get off subject, but I LOVED The Tick. Too bad they took it off. I've set my VCR for the show tonight, but now I'll have to run home after work to set it for the behind the scenes promo!

Thanks jsc. I have a very visual imagination and I think mine was running abit wild there. Cleared up now though.

perhaps 'skull-cap' is a Canadian expression?

Skull caps are the kind of hats the Jack wears, or at least wore while he wasn't off world in season 4.( at least that's what there refered to here in the US). Dew rag is pretty much a nickname for bandana's. This is the first time I've seen a bandana refered to as a skull cap before, so perhaps it is a Canadian expression.

Welcome Oblivion!

Hi! WelcomeOblivion!

I am glad that you posted. You are saying that the billed hats we think of as caps... are called skull caps! That is an interesting word for it! Would love to find out the etymology of it! Do you know it?

Will start a welcome thread for you in Stargate Newbie Forum. Just click on the underlined word Stargate at the top of the page. When the menu appears Click on Stargate Newbie Forum and when that menu appears, click on your Name!

Hey, Showtime did not show the promo before or after the premiere Friday night. I waited and waited but only a behind the scenes for TombRaider (yawn) came on. Does anyone know when it will be on again? I'm in New York, USA.

Hey ysm

There's this site www.sg1archive.com which someone told me about and I've downloaded it to watch it later. You should have a look, though you need, I think, Media Player.

Good Luck.

PS We call the kind of hat that Jack wears as "skip hats".

:D Thanks Jay Jay. What is a Lambrini??? I'm still at work, so I'll have to download it when I have time. It takes FOREVER!!! Hopefully my computer can handle it, and I'll get my fill of Mr. Sexy himself. :naughty: (RDA-as if you didn't know :wink2: ).

No rest for the wicked.

Skulls caps are like the hat Jack wore in "Upgrades", if that's what your billed hats are. Also another example of a skull cap is the wool caps they were in "Watergate" when there about to board the plane. Skull caps come in good number of designs. I hope that clears it up. When you mentioned billed hats, I thought about the buckets hats that Daniel use to wear.

Hey ysm

Lambrini is a drink. It's a bottle of wine. There are some really strange and silly adverts on UK television, sometimes I feel like that, you know.

They call themselves Lambrini Girls in the advert.
