PS: Skoon and I have something in common... we both spent WAY too much time in front of a computer screen trying to catch up with everyone. I saw most of seasons 1 & 2, and a few eps from s3 via the archive site.

well... never done anything too drastic. But when sky was showing the season 3 eps on a monday night i had a running battle with my flatmate - who hates scifi and was totally raging when she moved in (escaping from her totally scifi-obsessed boyfriend) only to find that I was nearly as bad.

we have an arrangement that whoever plants themselves on the sofa first gets to choose the channel... and it was eastenders or voyager, then some awful decorating programme or sg1.
i have to admit that i found myself skipping classes to get back from university before her.....especially if it ws an ep i hadn't seen


(but just got my degree results and still somehow managed to get a 2.1...yay!)

In order to watch Stargate, I gave up sex. My ex girlfirend wanted to come over and spend the night-and we all know what that means-but I told her no, I had to get up early-the truth? Stargate is on in syndication at midnight where I live and I didn't want to miss the 2nd part of a 2 parter. There it is, folks-the sad life of Jaffa-Jim-am I obsessed, crazy, both or maybe had just had a date the night before? You be the judge-just be gentle-although my symbiote protects me physically, it can not protect me from the emotional pain that comes from a diss from a fellow Stargate fan.

What would I do?

Ok here's the sad truth.....I have most of the first 2 seasons of Stargate on tape and I'm buying the third season....just so I can see it....

My friends who didn't think I'm wierd actually now know that I am...as I can be frequently seen running to my car to speed home and catch the beingining of an epidsode....the number of times I've ditched my friends for that one

The phones are all unplugged, doors locked and animals inside with the lights of and the sound system is turned up loud so I won't hear anything outside

Anyone coming to visit me (on the rare occasions that I am home) can usually expect to find Stargate/Buffy/Angel/Star Trek playing on my TV when they walk in....

What can I say.....the first thing I do when I get home is turn that tape on! :rolly2:

Oh yeah did I also mention that in under a week I have downloaded half of season 4 just so that I can see it! Being an aussie has some major drawbacks sometimes

I would sell my soul to Sokar.....i mean the devil. Hey, they're on in the same.

Nah, but seriously, in Australia they stopped showing it middle of last year at Watergate. It just disappeared. For the last year we've been waiting for it to come back.

Anyway, down in the Aussie section we had a plan, an elaborate scheme to get it back. We were going to loot and burn Channel 7 Headquarters in Sydney. We'd fly in via Death Glider, land on the roof, start taking hostages, demand that they show Stargate (or steal the tapes, whichever came first) and if not burn down the place. Unfortunatly, it sort of fell through, considering there were only 4 of us and we couldn't pick up a Glider anywhere cheap.
We're workin on a new plan.
PS: Give us a yell if you've got a spare Death Glider anywhere.

They sorta cut us off with only showing about half of season 3....mind you they did play the last eppy of the season for us....SO KIND! :evil:

<looks at Willz and giggles> Tee hee, *snort* I SAW SEASON 4 SO MANY TIMES IT MADE ME SICK!!!!

Ya know, you COULD just ask me to tape them off of Shotime Beyond and mail them to ya (you pay of course) They are in MUCH better condition than what you'd see on the Archive versions (you SO need to see Danny in Beneath the Surface... <drooling uncontrolably>)

Lets see, 6 eps will fit on a tape,divided by 22 episodes equals 4 tapes. I have no idea what that would run cost wise, but if you were desperate..... <shrug>
