New SG1 book coming out

I've just found out today by pure chance that there is a Stargate Book coming out to go along with the series.

Its called Stargate SG1 Illustrated Companion Volume 1.

This is being published on the 20/7/2001. As far as I know its being released in the UK.

Hi Teal'c, from what i can gather the cost is £10.99.

I'm glad they decided to release a book about the series. Its about time. With 4 seasons already having been shown on TV they need to catch up.

If it every comes out in USA it will probably be after the show has been off for five or six years! We just got the first season DVD's this year.... Talk about retarded!

Of course, MGM seem very bizarre: in US only season 1 is available; in UK basically only series 2 and 3, with "highlights" of series 1 are available! [Volume 14, first batch of series 4 is due out on 20th August... :freak4:]

Thanks, I was just going to ask when it was out.

I pre-booked mine from Amazon.uk.co when Gatecon first posted about it (on another thread), that was ages ago and I've heard nothing since.

Looks like it's cheaper at Amazon too. (Which is good for stone broke ex-students like myself who need to pay back loan companies £6000! )

I use that tactic every time we're in town and it's onto SG videos.
"If you want to see series 3 before me, go ahead, buy the video!"
She generally shuts up after that, because she can't be bothered to save the money. I, on the other hand, save money through lack of a social life.
But at other times she can't let the subject drop. I might get lucky, because she doesn't even know that the book exists, and then all I have to do is insist that she wouldn't be interested in what I'd bought.
The best bet!? Act sneaky! :upto: :evil:
