Pick Your Favorite: Barker or King

Isn't this the equivalent of the Canon/Nikon argument, indulged in by people who should stick to crayons ?

Canon and Nikon presumably produce quite similar cameras. The writing of Barker and King are not similar at all. So it is fair that people clearly favour one over the other. Though obviously King has a larger fanbase.

They do, but stupid people (the ones who should stick to crayons) think that they're the only manufacturers. Both make absolutely shocking cameras at the cheap end of the market, because they know they could put their logo on doggydo and still make a mint from morons. There are other manufacturers who produce better cameras at lower prices.

There are other writers besides King and Barker, neither of whom impress me much.

Of course, maybe it's just me;

Coke or Pepsi ? Irn Bru.

Canon or Nikon ? Pentax for SLRs, Fujifilm for bridge, cheap compacts don't matter, because they're all pretty awful.

Celtic or Rangers ? Partick Thistle.

Ok, well it is great that not everyone has the same taste!
In terms of imaginative writing with the likes of Imajica Clive Barker is incredible. I thoroughly recommend it or Weaveworld to anyone who enjoys the unusual. Obviously not everyone may like the story or the style but the variety of characters, creatures and landscapes he writes about are incredible. I don't know of any with a better imagination for the bizarre.
