Does ne1 like Laira(sp?) from 'A Hundred Days'?

Clear? It wasn't at all clear to me. What exactly was it that made you so sure there was an attraction? Jack seemed the professional/casual flirt he always is with women. Even when he kissed her before he left he was far too distracted and uninterested. It was almost the most unromantic smooch I've ever seen on tv. :) And yes, I still see that Laira used him. She said from the very begining that a child was all she wanted. She came onto Jack while he was not only still very upset and confused about being forever cut off from home, but seduced him while he was drunk. If that had been me or someone I knew, I would definately without a doubt consider that being used. And I'd be very pissed off about it afterwards, too. :)

Laira remains the evil one in my mind. :)

Don't get me wrong..Im just as much a Jack and Sam fan as the rest of you..:D
It was clear to me that Jack kinda liked Laira well before he knew he was stuck on her planet.
The looks he gave her when they were watching the 'fire rain' also they seemed to be together well before the night he got drunk...plus he wasn't *that* drunk that he didn't know what was going on...it does take two to make babies and he knew what he was doing.
I will say that I think he was trying to make the best of a bad situation and no I don't think he ever loved her.
And she only told him that she wanted a child after he had been there for a few months. It wasn;t like he step throught the gate and she pounced on him and said she wanted a child ;)

Guess will have to agree to disagree on that. ;-)

I saw the attraction between Jack and Laira, too; even from the beginning when everyone was watching the falling stars, there was much more there than the usual Jack banter.

And I just don't see how you think Laira used Jack. She took him in after the meteor took the gate out, and didn't make a move until she felt he was ready to let go of his life on earth and make a life with her. That night when he was partying with the natives, he seemed like he was finally becoming one of them, and not the foreigner....so, I don't see how she used him at all.

I don't -think- she used him, I know she did. Yes, she took him in. But it became clear as to why she did once she revealed that she wanted a kid. And no, she didn't jump the man right away, but 3 months of waiting for him to settle is hardly fair before moving in for the kill. He was still less than happy to be there, quiet and grumpy. He was still drunk when she seduced him (nice timing that woman has eh?). That, in my mind, is being taken atvantage of. Now- if she had respected Jack and provided comfort to him instead of jumping him while drunk, *that* would have been honorable and kindhearted of her and shown that she really -did- care about his well being rather than the possibility of getting a kidlet for herself. Even if Jack had been the one to instigate something- drunk is drunk is drunk and the drunk person is hardly in the position to make rational choices. Never mind him still dealing with his whole life changing forever being stuck light years away from earth and everything he knew. She said she wanted a kidlet, and then she slept with him. That sets off 'sperm donor' alarm bells right, left and center in my mind. ;-)

I still hope the next time he sees her he kicks her ass. :D

Drunk people almost always know what they're doing, but the part of being intoxicated takes away their ability to make rational choices or even mean what they say or do. It leaves them very suseptable and vulnerable. It also affects good judgement.. It also makes people do things they never normally would. It's akin to a drug. More than half of drunk drivers aren't people who are intoxicated to the point of stumbling around and being unable to pass the drinking driving tests and know better than to do it dispite the fact they did. Drunk is drunk, and whether you sleep with a drunk man or drunk woman, that is taking atvantage of them whether they know what they're doing at the moment or not. Because they -are- intoxicated. And the fact Laira chose the moment of her seduction to be when Jack was drunk on TOP of while he was still recovering from being lost on a strange world is right nasty. Obviously she knew he wouldn't give her what she wanted in any other case- not while he could think clearly and see what she was doing, anyway. Flog the witch! :D

Me whenever I see that she-thing ;-) -> :angryfire

LOL, I gotta laugh at one comment: "she's far too old for him". The actress is 12 years younger than RDA.

Ya know...I've just gotta add....I have to admire Laira's restraint. If I had that man under *my* roof for three months....well, they would have had to call the episode "Two Weeks," there would be no "Hundred Days" to it!!! HELLO!! I don't think so!! :upto:

LOL, bummer. Total agreement there. And if it was Daniel -- 5 days? Maybe?

Weeks?! Days?! I'd have jumped Jacks bones the min. I saw him!:kisses:

Yep have to agree!

If it had been Danny...I don't think I would have even got to 100 seconds let alone days:eek:

just becuase i feel like posting it....
LAIRA SUCKS

Ah, now I feel better.
:D

ysm, love the sig. "..the eyesight to tell the difference".

LOL!

Time frame

'Either' of the two gentleman. Three months? Right. Not a chance in Nietu. ;)

I think if there'd been any other choice of women on that planet, and Laira hadn't plied Jack with alcohol, he never would have done the horizontal mambo with that SLUT Laira. :D LOL! She's not worthy ! It should have been me on that planet ! :D :D

Jack and Booze

I just don't see Jack as the kind who'd need 'liquid courage' to get horizontal with a gal. He's got a bit too much integrity for that.

Slut?? Nah, she just has exquisite taste!! And I agree, I'd love to be stuck on a planet with him!! :flash:

And ya know, Jack did't seem drunk to me, he might have been feeling good, but I don't think he was out of control, slobbering drunk enough to jump into bed with someone.

I always felt they were attracted to each other from the start during that meteor shower.
