Stargate Marathon!!!

:( well, the series actually starts in september on sky, so at least u'll het 2 c some eps:D

a lot of stuff is happening on Sept 21. The Gatecon is one big thing. It's also the season premier of Dark Angel on Fox. And while I'm not sure of the time, I guess that will bite for anyone viewing SG-1 on Fridays unless you have two VCR's. That was a really bad move on Fox to put their SF against SG-1. And seeing how Friday night killed Lone Gunmen why put DA over there?!

Friday night didn't kill Lone Gunmen. The non-viewers killed it and good riddance!:laugh2:

The first one starts at 12:30 PM, and the last one starts at 8 PM.

too much stuff by the One-hit-wonder Chris Carter gets killed before people understand what it's all about. I guess this could mean it never connects with the average person. At the same time imagine if X-Files had died after only one season... Millenium snuck in under the wire and got two and a half seasons... then you have that 'Realms' thing. Sadly, it was thought up after the glorious early 90's when the Fox network felt that they could predict ratings after only 3 shows when people have hundreds of channels to sift through... it's no way to run a network IMHO. What studio will chance signing up with a new idea if they schedule twelve and only produce three? Instead we get garbage reality stunt specials. I sure as shooting don't care about Murder in Smalltown X. :p Maybe if they did "little boy shot in home by accident by gang member" It would at least show a thing that I hate happening every day in this city.

How are they going to pass Showtime? Showtime originates the show. Thats crazy.

xmas special

Thumbs up for the xmas special. It'd be interesting to see how and if they celebrated the holiday. There'd probably be an attack on the station just as they sat down to dinner.

Last year the UK was ahead of the US by, what was it, 9 days? 'Y'all were seeing the last epis of season 4 before we were. So you get some epis faster, and you get DVDs, all we get is one freakin' marathon. I think *you* win! <jealous>

Friday night is going to be double VCR/cable box night. Dark Angel is on against Farscape, at least in my time zone. At least Farscape airs twice.

I think it's about time Showtime give the fans something back, after screwing us over season 6!

I suggested to Sci-Fi Channell that they put Stargate on Friday Prime after Farscape. It's a good lead in and will generate a larger viewing audience. and Sci-Fi advertises their shows ALL the time.:coolyello

wow, an xmas special sounds gr8!!!

i think they should have stargate S5 in england NOW!!, not in 18 months time!

The X-Files was only interesting {IMHO} for 1 or 2 seasons--I stopped watching after that. Millennium started out really well then something, I don't know what, happened. Did they get new writers? :dead:

What Realms thing???

Sorry to say that there will be even more "un"reality shows next season  . Who watches these stupid things??? :angryfire

well, according 2 skytext, they will pass showtime. it's happened b4, cuz sky were about three weeks ahead of showtime showing the second half of season 4, crazy, but gud 4 us who get sky :D

Showtime has updated their online schedule, revealing that the upcoming "Stargate SG-1" marathon will be nearly twice as long as previously reported. The marathon, scheduled for Saturday, September 8 on the U.S. premium cable network, celebrates the show's 100th episode milestone.

The first ten episodes of Season Five ("Enemies" through next week's "2001") will air beginning at 12:30 PM Eastern/Pacific. The marathon concludes with the premiere of the show's 100th episode, "Wormhole X-Treme," at 8 PM.

I sure don't waste my time on reality or gameshows anymore.

It's funny you said that XF was only interesting for two years. They actually let two writers go to Mil and from there they left the Chris Carter fold completely. They were Glen Morgan and James Wong. They were also the drivetime writers behind Space: Above and Beyond. They've always been credited with stories that dig at a facet of humanity, once they get rolling that is. SF and Fantasy is a tough write according to a book on SF writing by David Gerrold I'm reading right now.

It is possible that Morgan and Wong were incredibly true to the Mulder and Scully characters and once they left they never had a steady group of writers and the show suffered from that?

and the CC "three ep wonder" was a show called Harsh Realms.

I like pretty much ALL scifi! and i am soooooooooo :angryfire: that i only get Sky One here! :angryfire:
