Cardcaptors (a.k.a Card Captor Sakura)

I don't like how the American version of Card Captor Sakura(aka "Card Captors" in the dub)has been treated. For one thing, the first episode in the American dub is really the 8th(?) episode in the series, and after this point they tend to show eps in a random order. Add to this the fact that this show is suppost to be more of a romantic story than an action adventure like Pokemon or Digimon, and how scenes were cut out/dialoug changed to try to ignore this plot.

Basically, I don't think people should bother with this dub...but that's just my opinion.
 
So, it's been given the DBZ treatment? Chopped up, and made to appeal to American audiences, who don't like that anime stuff? Because that is what I see it as.

American televison would rather kids see fighting and stuff, than to see romance and love. the only shows that show *love* are Sailor moon and Pokemon, and in both, one character is obsessive (Serena and Brock), while the others are more rounded. *sigh* They musn't think much of kids and their ability to comprehend things....
 
hm...in the 'american' Dub,in CANADA CC starts with the first episode.She finds the cards in her library:eek4: yup,so in canada we're special cause teletoon buys the episodes and Dubs them themselves.they working on getting the rest of the episodes
 
well were gettin it in order! so i dunno! we get the ebest bits LOL! neway ive now got 30 new vids! 3 cardcaptors!! 5sailor moon! 7 dbz!10 DBGTand 5 movies all from japan and subtitled
!!
 
see thats why they should always leave a cartoon as is and not dub it, sub it then..... speaking of which .... what do you prefer in an anime....


subbed (subtitled) or dubbed(that speaks for itself)?
 
subbed... the japanese versions r usually better than the english IMHO
 
It depends on the show.

Pokemon doesn't need to be subbed, because the dub version is okay. DB shows, on the other hand, is best while subbed. I've seen the subbed eps, and they rock.

Action shows most likely will, but simple kiddie toons won't need subbing.
 
*nods* im all for subbed.... if thats how they were made voices and all, just leave it that way.... *goes back to room to watch Sailor Moon R movie*
 
Yeah, i'm all for sub... Japanese anime voices are so *cute!*

Kurririn (Krillin) in Japan has the most adorable voice I have ever heard.
 
subbed is defanatly better,although I don't like reading all the words.I just wanna learn Japanese so I don't have to!But subbed is way better,when I have the chance i buy subbed vids. instead of Dubbed,JUst because they're better
