The Four Horsemen

there might have been -- i have no idea what they would do - would they follow the horsemen around? or just lurk off a ways, or 'copy cat' the horsemen? did they make their own Horsemen cloaks? and weapons? did they sell souveneirs??? hehehe-

it's late -- sorry ----

:rolly2: souvinears....anyway....I was thinking like copycat type groups...that type of thing was a fairly common occurance during those times and the Horsemen did it so well that someone else might have tried to copy them

oh - i'm sure there were roving gangs of copy-cat horsemen all over the place ---

just more reasons for ppl to be afraid of the dark - or the light even - the horsemen didn't care - they rode whenever they chose --

i still think they sold souveniers! :D

for a thousand years no less...impressive even if it was horrible...that's a long time for a group of immortals to stick together...although I asume they had to take breaks every once in a while.

yeah - 1000 years is a long time to put up w/ a group of guys --

ya know - makes ya wonder then about when Methos said it would be too much of a commitment to make to marry an immie -- he could hang out w/ the horsemen for 1000 yrs, but not w/ a woman?? (and no snide comments on that one) remember - we don't know how long they kept Cassandra around - she could have been w/ them for over 100 yrs for all we know --

hmmmmmm ----

I don't have a problem seeing that actually....there's a vast difference in the types of relationships involved after all...

it could be because of his experiences with the horsemen that he is not keen to marry and immie and therefore spend a long tome with them...after all he spent 1000 yrs with those fellas, and he didnt exactly leave in happy circumstances, and now regrets the whole thing more than anything...

playing the Devil's Advocate is so much fun --

it promotes discussion --

yes - the two types of relationships are different --

but it comes down to spending time w/ ppl ---

or - Methos has been married 68 times - maybe he figured the few years he spent w/ his wives was enough -- some men don't take well to marriage ----

any other thoughts????

besides that when your immortal sometimes the "bad" guys tend to use the people you love against you...maybe he was trying to avoid that type of thing as well...

another good possibility --

hmmm - any others???

well....5000 years is a long time....figure that in the early years the wives wouldn't have lived as long as we do today...and take into account the math...and we are looking at a wife an average of every 74 years...doesn't sound like a committment problem to me

guess not --

so -- we still need to know more about his life -- why was only the Horsemen arc shown? why didn't we get more of Methos' past? at least show one wife -- no - we get the Byron thing and the potential affair w/ Mary Shelley -- (who i think should be an immie too - she'd have been awesome to bring back!)

my guess is that #1 they didn't want to get to into Methos's past because it would interfere with the main character of Duncan because Methos was a more interesting character, but I'm a bit biased on that...#2 they wanted to keep Methos a mystery...and #3 Methos was always a very private person so they had to real reason to show anything unless Duncan found out about it somehow, Methos never liked giving information out anyway of anykind...especially about himself.

all very good points ---

and i totally agree on #1 --

yet one more reason why Methos should have his own show -

hey - PW even suggested it!

on the 2nd blooper tape - PW and EG are working on that scene from "Forgive Us Our Trespasses" (the blue boxers one) and Amanda says: "He'll die, Methos."

to which PW responds: "Then we'll get our own show!" and bursts into almost uncontrollable laughter --

then it took forever for them to get the scene right - EG kept laughing at PW!
