Highlander Quotes

Louise Marcus: "You think i do this every Saturday night?"
Connor: "They say it's a kind of magic." <wicked grin>

Highlander II

i am so at a loss for HL quotes - and i have no idea why - 'cept that there are, instead, about 1000 Spike quotes in my head -

ummmmmm --

"Mi casa es su casa." -- Methos from the ep "Methos"

Amanda: Happy Birthday!
Nick: It’s not my birthday.
Amanda: I know. It’s mine.
Nick: I didn’t know you had birthdays.
Amanda: How else am I supposed to get presents?!
Nick: Ah, so that makes you exactly how old?
Amanda: 29.
Nick: 29? Yeah, give or take.
Amanda: Look, a girl who can’t lie about her age has no imagination whatsoever.

Highlander:The Raven "Love and Death"

why is it that every time i come to this thread, all the HL quotes just skip town? and i get SPIKE! i go to type something and all i get is "Yeah, i could do that, but i'm paralyzed with not caring very much." -- or some such --- grrrrrr argh!!

need my Methos muse to come back ---

hmm --

Connor: What experience? You've been dead for 500 years!

Highlander II - the Quickening AND the Renegade Version (for those of us in the US)

Korda: Mortals are so.......
Amanda: Temporary?

Korda: So you have no experience of being a thief?
Amanda: Thief?! Noooh! Perish the thought!

Highlander: The Raven "A Matter of Time"

(I like this eppy and "The French Connection" cause it has Val :D )

Amanda: "They (he?) called me a cheap whore and a thief. I was never cheap!"

(i think that's from "Dramatic License" but i'm not 100% sure)

Amanda: Ahh, those bills. The paper. The ink. It was undetectable. A real piece of work.
Nick: "......"
Amanda: A girl can dream.
Nick: A girls can get 20 to life!

Highlander: The Raven "The French Connection"

okay - i don't remember the exact quotes, but Amanda says something along the lines of she was out of money and was going to print more -- then Duncan chastises her - 'print more?' -- it's from The Return of Amanda --

which, btw, guest starrs Don S. Davis from Stargate SG-1 (he's General Hammond)

Amanda: Would you put the testosterone away!
Nick: Who the h*** are you trying to protect?
Amanda: I get to choose?

Highlander: The Raven "The Rogue"

whole scene coming - love this one!

(oh - and i snagged this from here: http://www.methos.org/chronicles/prometheus.html)

it's the flashback from the Modern Prometheus, just after Byron's taken the quickening of Kershner-->

Mary: How? [Rejoins Methos.] He lives yet — yet I saw—

Methos: It was a trick of the storm.

Mary: I'm not Claire. Do not speak to me like a fool. I've seen him die and live again, while my daughter Clara lies buried in her grave. How can he live while my flesh and blood turns to dust? Explain.

Methos: There is no explanation. He is not governed by the rules of mortal flesh. He is of a different kind.

Mary: How do you know this? How can you know it?

Methos: Because I am like him — immortal. I beseech you, tell no one of this. We must live in secret.

Mary: Or you would be hunted.

Methos: For the perversion of nature that we are.

Mary: Poor tormented creature. The sad hero of a never-ending story. Resurrected by lightning to eternal life. [Touches Methos' face.] To eternal lonliness.

*sniffles* poor tormented creature indeed...look how he ends up...with Duncan of all people...can't get any more tormented than that...anyway.....

Mary: Sometimes I wonder who's the more unhappy - those who die, or those who live.

Byron, about the insensible Mary Shelley: I say we take her. We push the bounds of our passion to Heaven itself!
Methos: And I say we leave before we push the bounds of decency.

also from "The Modern Prometheus"

um um um --- i'm totally out of quotes - wait --

"I'm afraid my imagination fails me at present." Mary Shelley - "TMP" (again)

love that ep!!!

Duncan: Five thousand years.
Methos: Yeah, give or take. And that was when I took my first head. Before that, it all starts to blur.
Duncan: I guess it would. So have you, uh—
Methos: Made any sense of it? Found any purpose?
Duncan: What? You read minds too?
Methos: No, it's what I'd ask if I just met me.
Duncan: I just didn't think you existed.
Methos: Ah, it's good to be a myth.

"Methos"

Methos: "You're not what? The perfect immortal, or not gonna die?" <to Duncan in "Forgive us our Trespasses">

that's the only one in my head --

Duncan: Okay, you'd be doing me a favor. [Serving him coffee.] Milk?
Methos: Aw, now that's not fair. You're making it personal now. You think that I'll feel guilty when I say no?
Duncan: Sugar?
Methos: You're wasting your time. I haven't felt guilt since the 11th century. I don't even know these people!
Duncan: Yeah, well that's why I'm asking you. All you have to do is act a little.
Methos: Do I look like an actor?
Duncan: Oh, you've been with the Watchers for years and no one's ever suspected you. Don't you want to see Gina and Robert live happily ever after?
Methos: Yeah. But I want to see me live happily ever after even more.

"Til Death"

Methos: My chair now!

later -->

Methos: What can I say, I'm an ac-tor.

also from "Til Death"

(tho i might have slightly goofed the 2nd one)

AHRIMAN: "I see no reason for us to be enemies. After all, you're a warrior. You're a champion. We can help each other."
DUNCAN: "I don't think so."
AHRIMAN: "Why not? Because I'm evil? It's so limited, so human. What is good? And what is evil? Such a limited world, the human mind. I can't begin to describe to you what I really am, MacLeod, you wouldn't begin to understand."
DUNCAN: "So that's it, is it? A thousand years of bad P.R.?"

"ARMAGEDDON" I think this was the eppy anyway

Fitz: "Think of the knowledge that will be lost..."

(or something to that effect, then he mentions something about unsatisfied women)

"The Hunters"
