Chapter 16: Sister Sister
Gemni: Hi Sis.
Melina: Hi Brat.
Gemni: I’m not a brat!
Melina: You might think that but we both know you are.
Gemni: Am Not!
Melina: So, you spent the night at Aria’s last night, huh?
Gemni: Yeah, so?
Melina: Did Mom and Dad know?
Gemni: No. So what?
Melina: Well you know you’re supposed to tell them when you go out.
Gemni: Do you always have to come home when you visit? I mean you could just stay at a motel or a friend’s house or something.
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING RIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!
Melina: we’ll talk about this later. <Picks up the phone> Hello?
Serena: Hi Melina?
Melina: This is she.
Serena: Great! Hi! This is Serena.
Melina: Oh Hi! How are you?
Serena: I’m fine. You?
Melina: I’m okay. So what’s so important for you to ring this number?
Serena: Um well, I just wanted to talk to you about your sisters.
Melina: Sisters?
Serena: Yes your younger sisters. The two girls that are Rini’s Age?
Melina: um… Rini… oh your daughter Rini! You mean my sister. We got a discount at Disney world for the sister thing. Only Gemni is my sister. Aria is a friend of hers. Why ask me about my sister and her friend now?
Serena: Actually, can I talk to your sister now?
Melina: Why?
Serena: I have my reasons.
Melina: I guess so. Here she is…
Gemni: who is it?
Melina: a friend of mine who wants to talk to you for some reason.


Serena: Hello?
Gemni: Hi?

Narrator: Gemni and Queen Serenity have a long serious talk and end up talking about sailor scouts and powers. Gemni finds this conversation to be a little strange but she is familiar with the voice, as if she knows this friend of her sister’s well. She can’t quite place her finger on it…

Serena: So would you like to come to Tokyo? I’ll pay for airplane tickets.
Gemni: Sure. That would be cool. Can Aria come too?
Serena: Of course.
Melina: Come where?
Gemni: To Tokyo.
Melina: Are you nuts!
Gemni: No.
Melina: Give me the phone!
Gemni FINE!

Melina: Let me get this straight. You want my sister to come to Tokyo?
Serena: Yes.
Melina: Why?
Serena: So… she can play with Rini. Rini has trouble making friends in the palace and I thought it would be nice if Gemni and her friend would come here.
Melina: Okay. Sure. Right and I’m sure our parents are really going to go for that one.
Gemni: I bet they’ll say I can go!
Melina: Serena I’m going to have to call you back. Bye.
Serena: Okay I understand. Bye.

Narrator: Melina hangs up the phone. Gemni and Melina argue over this for a while until their mom gets home from work. Their mom seems enthusiastic about the idea. In fact, she thinks it is a great opportunity for Gemni and Aria to see the world. Gemni goes to Aria’s house and they get permission from aria’s parents to let her go too. They call back Serena and so it is settled, Gemni and Aria are going to Tokyo.
