ya simply write a fan fic, and someone continues it!!!!

Jack impatiently tapped his pen on the briefing room table, SG-1 were meant to be briefed for their next mission at 1300 today. However a certain archaeologist was considerably late.
Daniel stumbled through the door carrying posters and artefacts.

"I've found something big, real big"

"Well what have you found?", asked Jack "yet another Stargate?"

"Nope, better", says Daniel, as he stumbles to find the old newspaper he was carrying, "notice anything weird about this picture"? He hands Jack an old newspaper clipping from 1957.

"No, what am I supposed to be looking for?" asked Jack.

"Look in the background of the picture, and correct me if Im wrong, but I think that person, or maybe that Goa'uld, is using a ribbon device!!!!", says Daniel excitedly.

"yeah?... so?" Jack replied ignorantly.

"Well don't you see!?!?, it means this person or Goa'uld could have been quite valuable to the SGC"

"Have been?" Jack asked inquisitivly.

"yeah... uhmm... there's no record of whom he actually is" replied the fumbling doctor.

"Well, what paper is it from?", asked Sam, looking over at the paper lying spread out on the breifing room table.
"Umm...", Daniel said looking for the name. "The Sydney Telegraph".
"Sydney as in Australia?", Jack asked, his curiosity picqed.
"Yeah, the article is about a group of researchers who were doing a dig in the Australian outback. They discovered a few artifacts buryed in a cavern near a small town named Whyalla. Aparently they had never seen any of the artifacts before. In the picture you can see a few things that are very familiar, as well as the ribbon device there's also two tablets with strange markings and several tools that look like they could have been used for mining naqadah."
"So what about this man wearing the ribbon device?", asked General Hammond.
"Well at first I thought he was just one of the researchers holding the artifact but when I took a closer look, guess what I saw?"

"A young boy about 15 or 16"

Jack directed his attention at the General?
"I think it's worth a look at sir"

"Right, i'll get clearance for you to leave at 0700 tomorrow" replie the enthuased general.

"Where is 'Australia'?" replied a confused Teal'c.

"Down under T-man, home of the kangaroo and the barbeque... kids! pack your sunnies" jack said clapping his hands together

The next day, Sg1 landed on Australian soil and were greeted by a few government and military types.

"Wow, it sure it warm here", commented Sam.

"Indeed", replied Teal'c, already breaking into a sweat.

"So, where exactly are we going?", asked Jack.

"Near a place called Whyalla, and its gonna be even hotter there", said Daniel.

"And what exactly are we going to be doing there?", asked Jack.

"Uhh, Digging", answered Daniel.

"DIGGING?", said Jack.

"Well, not actual digging, just looking, but if we have to dig, then we'll dig!", said Daniel, as he walked off, eager to get started.

"Archeologists", muttered Jack.

12 hours later and the team was at their final destination 'Whyalla'- a dead city with a small population of about 20,000.

"What a hole!" commented Jack.
"Jack, stop baggin out Australia and help us look!" yelled an angry Daneil.

The team was at the top of Mt Laura, a small hill only hundreds of metres from nearby houses.

"Well this is the place that the photo was taken, so start looking around"

seconds later, "Over here, i have found something....something extraordinary" Teal'c said.

Daniel was over there in a Sydney second, with Sam hot on his heels, and Jack somewhat lagging behind.

"It is a variation of a Goald communication device, similar to the one you found during our first contact with the Tokra, O'Neil."

"How far under was this Tealc?" Sam enquired, examining the spherical device.

"Only a few feet, Major Carter."

Daniel and Sam looked up simultaneously with matching expressions of shock and disbelief.

"So.... what?" asked the Colonel, missing the point entirely.

Her eyes still fixated on the device, Sam turned to face her wondering CO.

"Sir do you realise what this means?"

"It means, Jack, that under this mountain could be old goa'uld quarters. Probably a large cavern of some sort given by the fact that it's on the top of a mountain. It could be anything, a palace, tunnels, naqadah mines, anything.", Daniel explained.
"We're going to need to see if we can uncover what's down there", Jack said just as Teal'c called over to them from several meters away.
"O'Neill, I believe I have found something", he said as the rest of the team rushed over to where Teal'c stood. As they approached they saw that Teal'c had indeed found something. They stared at the ground looking a what appeared to be a small round coverstone, about 1 metre in width. It was half covered by dead grass and dirt. Daniel bent down to take a closer look, brushing away the layers of dirt. As he cleared the area around the coverstone he looked up at the others, an expression of shock on his face.
"They're goa'uld symbols", he said, tracing his fingers over the engraved coverstone. "I think we've just found a way into our cavern".
"Can we open it?", Jack asked.
"Yeah, shouldn't be too hard. We just have to press a combination of five symbols and then the air lock will release so we can open it."
"How long will that take?", Jack asked, looking impatient.
"Not long. I've come across this type of thing before. Maybe 5 or 10 minutes. I just have toi work out the sequence.", Daniel answered.
"Okay, then, get to it", Jack said as he looked out over the sourrounding area of the Australian bush.

(5 minutes later)

"Okay....I think of we've got it." Daniel motioned for Jack and Tealc, to join him and Sam at the coverstone.

Sam began to explain.

"This code is similar to the Stargate system, 4 symbols, in a dialing sequence followed by a "point of origin", in this case, whereby its only planetery, we need a point of geo-origin, in other words, a coordinate reflecting our position in relation to the poles..."

"ENOUGH!" exclaimed Jack

"Please, Major, lose the tecno-babble and get to the point!"

"Sorry Colonel. As I was saying, its a point of earth origin, so I'm theorising that this point of origin is like a set of longitude and latitude points. With Daniel's translations, I was able to formulate a similar set of coordinates, and found the point of origin for this particular sequence. With only 3 other heiroglyphs, it would be a short case of trial and error before we get the right combination."

"How do you know that there is no automatic destruct if you dial the wrong code" Jack enquired.

Sam tilted her head and frowned.

"I don't think so sir, my equipment is not picking up any traces of naquada or electronic devices, and if an auto destruct was to be the case, they would need a frequency regulation device which my equipment - "

Jack stopped her with a wave of his hand.

"Thats alright Major, I'll take your word for it."

"Yes sir."

Jack shook his head and muttered "Scientists."

"Shall we attempt to enter the correct code then, Daniel Jackson?"

Tealc looked at Daniel, patient and bemused.

"Right, yes, of course."

Daniel began to enter a random code of symbols and waited until a blue light flashed above each one. He nodded at Sam, who then reached out and entered the fourth symbol, the point of geo-origin...

Then, the was a slow rumbling noise, and the groud started shaking.
"Carter, what the hell did you just do??", yelled Jack.

Before Sam got the chance to answer, a hole, about 15 metres wide appeared in the ground, and a huge ball rose into the air.

"That kinda looks like one of those Goa'uld communication devices, only 200 times bigger", said Daniel.

"What do you think it does?" asked Sam.

"I have absolutely no idea", answered Daniel.

"Well dont ya think we should find out, before and army of snakeheads comes pouring out or something???", yelled Jack.

Then, all of a sudden, then was a huge boom, and the ball started to flatten and glow red.

"Aaaahhh, sir...", Daniel said wearily.

"RUN!" yelled Jack.

They sprinted away from the deforming ball, diving for cover as an explosion ripped through the air.

As soon as raining rock debri had ceased falling, they sat up and surveyed the area.

"What the hell..." muttered Jack, as his eyes fell upon the area before him.

"I believe it to be what the Tau'ri refer to as a booby trap", voiced Teal'c.
"Nice", Jack said. "Everyone okay?"
"Fine", they all said.
"Good, do you think it's safe to go back and have another look?", Jack asked Daniel. The archeologist picked up his glasses off the ground and looked over to the area where the explosion had just occured. "I think it's safe. I agree with Teal'c. I must have been some sort of safe guard system to keep people out. Whatever is down in that hole must be important."
"Alright, I guess we better go take a look, campers", Jack said as he stood up and brushed the dirt of his green fatigues.
Cautisously they apporached the hole where the coverstone had been. Daniel slowly looked over into the darkness, covered by Teal'c who had his Zat gun ready, just in case.
"There's some stairs", he told them, looking back up to face the other members of the group. "I think it's a burial chamber. It's much like the ones in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. The stairs usually lead down into a tunnel system leading to a main chamber that houses..."
"Don't say it Danny...", Jack interrupted, he knew what was coming.
"...a sarcophagus", Daniel finished.

"Thanks Danny. No really, thank you, you have a knack of brightening up my day."
Jack turned to Carter and Tealc, a scowl evident on his face.
"Sense anything, campers?"
"I do not, O'Neill"
"Neither do I sir, but then again, if there is a goald entombed and sedentry, I may not be able to sense the presence."
"Okay then, Carter, take point, Tealc you got six."
Carter moved to the front. "Yes Sir."
They approached the tomb, flashlights darting from darkness to darkness.
"Daniel, what can you make from these symbols?"
"Ah, lets see, it seems to be fairly recent goald heiroglyphs, after Ra and Osiris, maybe 500 years or so advanced from Ra's early rule."
"Interesting." Sam and Jack were busy studying the base of the sarcophagus.
"Daniel, you might want to have a look at these inscriptions."
Daniel hurried to Sam's side.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking, Daniel?"
"Oh yeah."
"Oh boy."

The Sarcophagus lurched opened, Jack raised his rifle, Teal'C raised his staff weapon ready to fire.

A boy sat up, and eyes glowed. His hand raised and before anyone could react a shockwave of energy blew back SG-1 from the boy's hand device. The boy climbed out of the sarcophagus and walked towards the enterace of the tomb.

Jack picked himself up moments later and ran out of the tomb, no sign of the boy.

Sam anbd tge rest of SG-1 joined him. "He's out there in the city of Whyalla"

"So what do we do?"

"we find him"

"And how do we do that, sir?", asked Sam.

"Well, first, we need to find out who he is", said Daniel, as he walked back over to the open sarcophagus. "Well, this is interesting".

"Oh boy, what now?" asked Jack.

"According to these heiroglyps, this boy has something to do with Ra, but I cant figure out what this last symbol is", said Daniel, carefully studying. "THATS IT!", shouted Daniel.

"What?", asked Sam.

"Ahh, you guys aren't gonna like this, but according to the heiroglyphs, the person inside the sarcophagus was Shu, the son of Ra", said Daniel, "and we just let him go".

"Uh-Oh", said Sam.
"This is indeed bad", said Teal'c.
"Ya Think?", quiped Jack sarcastically.
Everyone was silent. What were they gonna do next. They had just let out a goa'uld, the son of Ra no less.
"Okay, guys, he can't have gone far. Daniel I'm assuming that there's no ship here that he can use, right?"
"No, I think this undergound cavern just contains the catacombs. A ship would be too big to hide in here, plus, this isn't a desert so there's no way that he could hide a ship under the sand like we saw Osiris do. I'd say at the moment his main object is probably going to be to find out what has happened since he was sleeping in the sarcophagus for the last few thousand years."
"So", said Sam nervously. "What now?"

"well we contact local police to keep an eye out, and we go searching for them" jack replied

10 minutes later, SG-1 was walking down the infamous Playford Avenue. The local hang out spot for young teenagers. As the team walked past KFC, Carter fell to the ground.

"I sense something sir, naquadah, i'm sure of it" Sam said. "It's comming from KFC"

SG-1 stormed into KFC mp5's and p90's aimed at whatever moved. Women screamed and got to the floor as SG-1 ran out the back. Their attention spanned at the deep fryer. It was glowing abnormally red.

Just then the back door flew open.

"Cloaked" Jack replied. "BUt what was he doing?"

"Maybe he was frying fillets?" A smile grew on Teal'C's face.

SG-1 stumbled back to the fryer and gazed into it.

A half a dozen nuggets were glowing red.

"carter get a reading" Jack exclaimed.

Carter walked over to the hot fryer and pulled out a scientific doo hickey.

"Sir, everything looks normal apart from the nuggets meat looks absolutely tendarising, and looks like the tastiest nugget in the world"

All of a sudden KFC's manager came billowing out in a pool og rage.
"do you mind explaining yourselves?"
