LOL yes did you see the eppy where death had sprained his ankle and so no one could die no matter how many wardrobes Stewy set fire to on 'mom". Even showed a bit of Stewie grown up.

My ex turned me on to Family Guy a few nights ago. I laughed, howled till tears came to my eyes. I am so liking the show. Wish I could turn my current sweetie on to the show. Will work on it soon as I get home.

Shouldn't be too hard. It's a great show! :D

My problem is that there are times when the show doesn't synch with sweetie's mood or somethinng like that and it kills the chance of his ever watching it with me after. We live in a tiny place, and t.v is his rule. It's an autocratic/ patriarchy society in this tiny place. lol

I thought Family Guy was on terrestrial - isn't it on C4?

ANyways, my favourite character is Brian, and Death - the episode "Death Takes a HOliday" (I think that's what it's called) is totally hee-larious!

Since Family Guy has been on BBC3 every night for the last month or so, I have been watching most evenings. It is definitely the best Cartoon, I'm a complete convert. Simpsons and South Park are no comparison!

I love the random asides and cutaways. There are so many references to films and TV shows of my youth, and there is usually a 'spot the Star Wars reference' in every episode. One of the first episodes I saw was the 'Blue Harvest' double ep. which is 'A New Hope' condensed into 45 minutes and almost better.

My son thinks Stewie is the best character, but I like Brian. I especially liked the one where he found his real parents. The way that Meg is treated is very funny, and Quagmire is always funny. I haven't worked out what Adam West is doing yet.

The reason it was pulled in the US was that Fox cancelled it (twice).

Family Guy has its moments, and I'll watch it over most other stuff, but for me the true test of a cartoon show is how many times you can watch the same episode and still find it fresh. On that score, for me, it lags waaaay behind the best Simpsons, or Futurama, or American Dad! (which is much sharper and has more rounded characters).

I would not say a better show when it came back from cancellation, rather it was a different show. That said: I will watch the reruns of when they came back more than the first three seasons. It's just funny- probably more from shock than anything else, but even with the shock some of the jokes have you looking at your buds and saying: No. No! They didn't just say that.

It's definately NOT for children, yet there are parents who let their young kids see it, to me that's shocking. There have been episodes of Family Guy that I had to change the channel because I found them too disturbing to watch or offensive. But there are episodes with segments that made me LOL.

No, it's not Simpsons at all. But to me a good show is if it's one that I can watch the reruns if there is nothing that I feel like doing with regards to engaging my brain, and this is the show that I can do it with. I really can't say that about South Park or some of the others, the Simpsons being the only one where that is possible, but, to be honest, the last few seasons of Simpsons doesn't have me laugh as much, but then again, the last season or two of Family Guy has been limping a bit too.
