And it's me again!!!

I've just solved the RDA's scar mystery!!!! Maybe some of you have already solved it but that cute little scar was still a mystery for me until just 5 minutes ago...

I didn't know when we first saw the scar and while going throw some captures of season 1, I found out!!! Now, there is a part of the mystery I haven't solved yet: how RDA got that scar. But I have my little theory on that : a hockey stick! ouch!!!!

so, as I was saying, Jack got his scar in season one, while filming There but for the Grace of God.

First proof: a picture from the beginning of that episode ( and the end too, my guess is that they filmed these parts first...) See, no scar.

Well well well!! It seems every body, but me, is celebrating Thanksgiving! I really hope you,re having fun and eating really good turkey!

Guess what? I was really existed tonight because it was supposed to be 2001 on Global Tv. BUT those JARHEADS presented 2010 instead!!! And since I'm not able to download the episode ( believe me, I've tryed at least 30 times..) that means I'm not gonna see it until God knows when...

awww. I saw 2001 on the late Showtime rebroadcast. I was so lucky to check the satelite guide over at my parents home before I headed off to bed for the night.

I'm still confused about the scar. And I wouldn't go for hockey stick in the middle of a week of filming. More like he didn't duck a crane on set. Zigged when he should have zagged. Looks nasty.

Nearly saw some accident like that happen on a visit back to my high school theater a year after I graduated. One of the kids brought the ladder on wheels around while it was in it's "down "position at head height and nearly killed one of the drama teachers. All it takes is a distracted grip to cause major trouble on set.

Mac! you're going to have me back watching that ep again tonight!

but Mac, there's a thread at gater.net all about this scar question. the article it refrences says that it's not real. Or if real, dressed up a bit by the makeup artist on the show.

I've thought about it not being a real scar but I saw some RDA pictures where we can see the scar. So it must be real. But I agree with you it must have been dressed up a little. A scar really fits in the plot of that episode. ( base under attack, Jack our fav super soldier went to try to save the world, ended with a cute little scar on the eyebrow...). PLus, do you really think they are that good to not miss any episode, doing a make up scar??? I mean, that would be so evident if they were putting it on for each episodes, the scar wouldn't look the same...

The scar's not real --- the make-up artist DOES 'cut it in' for each episode -- from my understanding -- it's part of his make-up - they wouldn't forget - that would be like forgetting to put Worf's bumps on his head one ep --- it's something everyone would notice -- and since it is 'essentially' shaved in - some pics of RDA off-set would include the 'scar' --- (this makes sense if you ever pluck or wax your eyebrows - it takes some time for the hair to re-grow - tho, most of us don't shave scars into our eyebrows - it can be done tho)

Every morning 7am they set each of them down for makeup. It's needed to even out what the camera lights do to skin tone. They dress up the scar.

It's not like they can't forget. After all, for a few eps Teal'c tatoo was reversed. So, the makeup ppl aren't error proof. But, the scar is part of the character according to the interview I read.

As for TBFTGOG, the alternate reality Jack has a really nasty scar. That's how so darn good the makeup ppl are! They do stuff like severed heads that scare the actors. That nasty scar was just to play up the whole other reality thing. One reality's scar is worse than what happened to Jack in our reality. Your second pic is from the alternate reality. And dollars to donuts that's just fantastic makeup.

Today I have for you a differant pic of Jack. What I mean is that he's wearing the kind of cap Carter usualy wear. I think it looks good on him !! Just has his normal cap does! ( yeah, I love the cap. Some don't but I do...) it's less an atletic look, more a " professional" look. And for those who said the cap looks too round on his head, well it does with that one!!!
