Hate to dig up an old topic but does anyone know if they will be releasing S1 on R2 DVD?

All I can find is 'The best of Season One'

I was planning to them on VHS but I decided to get DVD because they are easier to store, and in the long run are cheaper to collect, so it'll be ashame if I need to get season 1 VHS and season 2 and on, on DVD

Are MGM planning on releasing it?

If you can play them, you can always buy the US R1 box-set, from a supplier such as Amazon.com.

And curiously, they ship from Germany, which avoids import duty.

I bought Season 1 SG1 on region1 dvd's cos would have got really fed up waiting for MGM to release on region2. I got them from www.futureent.com Boxset cost me £50 no p&p.

It'll mean a little more saving up then I counted on but getting them all at once is the best (and only way ) and the cheapest! I checked at Xmas and the VHS boxed set was something like £120
