Thor is MS?

The Best of Both World Stargate SG-1 Convention in Sydney, Australia.
:D

Hadn't heard of that one - who IS going to be there? Maybe I shouldn't ask cos I'll just get envious! We don't get many (if any) conventions here in Scotland!!

murfff:(

well colin cunningham, tony amendola and alexis cruz WERE coming but there now appears to be some doubt.

however, we are being assured that michael shanks will definately be there

will shall see.......................

I suppose some people might be wary of flying at the moment...They might appear yet, tho...

Looks like Colin, Tony and Alexis are NOT coming now....

Don't talk to me about BOBW, I am so p****ed off with them.
:angryfire :angryfire :angryfire

Yes MS does the vioce of Thor.
CJ does the voice of the Unas in Thors Hammer, he also does the voice of Quetlzelcoatl in Crystal Skull
A little more about MS --he has a daughter, Tatiana (born late 1998) with Vaitiare Bandera (Sha're).

The tech people answered this question at Gatecon. It's done with computers. Having an actor play a twin on TV is pretty basic. Back before computers were used, the action the "twins" did was rather simple. You might go back to 1970's shows where the trick is used and the twins never touch. In fact, they probably stood on opposite sides of the screen! If film was being used, the film was carefully exposed two different times to create the illusion. That's why you have the two twins left and right on the screen.

As high quality video cameras and computers were developed the action could get more complex by having a second actor in the frame for the "twinned" actor to react to. (talk to, shake hands with, drag around... whatever) The actor and his double change places and shoot the same scene again. They try to move as much like the other did in the first round of the scene as they can. Then, later in video bays where the show is put together, the "wrong" actor is removed from the screen and the second footage of the right actor is put in. In the case of the episode you mention, there was a bit of extra computer work done because RDA and Dan Shea (I think he's still RDA's photo double) don't match each exactly. Special computers tweak stuff that doesn't look *exactly* right.

Truth is humans have a lot of brain power devoted to detecting false images and the computer guys have a lot of work to do to make you believe there are two Jacks slogging through the alien landscape... :wink2:

Welcome Sioku!

Yes, MS did Machello as well as Daniel in that one! Loved "Holiday"!:)

lol! I didn't read carefully enough about which ep you were so impressed with, Sioku. If you thought Tin Man was fantastic hang on for season 4. Tin Man uses that old left-right twin thing. Not terribly complicated for them to do. DOUBLE JEOPARDY uses the more technically complex stuff and was what was talked about at Gatecon...
