***Season Two, Three & Four Spoilers***
(4) In my mind, I'm never too scared by Buffy villians because I know they're just rubber masks. The Gentlemen are hard to beat, especially when that one glides past the window as Olivia (and us) are watching the Gentleman across the street.
(2) Maybe not the scariest, but the one that really made me squirm was the bug assassin from
#22 "What's My Line?, part II".
(3) On the subject of scary: The biggest scare I've ever gotten from Buffy was not a monster, unless you think David Semel is a fiend. It was that director's trick he used in
#042 "Lovers Walk". Cordy is seriously wounded and makes a death bed speech, then passes out. The next scene is a funeral and I AM FREAKED! I 'm wondering how they could kill Cordy in the middle of the season and why I never heard anything about her leaving the show.
Then the camera finds Buffy and Willow walking past the cemetary discussing how Cordy is going to be fine. HE SCARED THE H*LL OUT OF ME, but I laughed at how clever a trick it was for a long time, h*ll, I'm laughing now. But it was the worse scare Buffy has ever given me, for a few seconds I thought they had killed Cordy.
