I think 'The Gentleman' were all male though because of their name and they don't have to breed because I'm pretty sure there was only one set of them and they were all immortal.

I can't think of a demon that does age, so I'm guessing that they don't. (There obviously must be some exceptions to that).

It's possible there are trainee slayers that are also fighting vampires though, like Kendra before she was the actual slayer.

There are also the demon hunters like Sid all over the place.

And also remember that demons usually have to be summoned; so they may indeed be overpopulated, but they're overpopulating another plane, or whatever you want to call it.

Hmmm. Also, maybe not all demons reproduce; you could think of it almost like a beehive setup, where there's one big high-level demon (queen) and a bunch of lower level demons (workers) that do the high-level demons bidding. That's similar to the setup in Charmed; there's the Source, and then all the other little assassins and Balthazars out there.

Yeah there are the demon hunters to keep the levels down aswell.
I don't think that its been shown that most demons have to be summoned, I think the majority are already on earth.
The only demons that we've really seen reproducing are vampires, I think most demons have to reproduce though, I know there's a lot of cross-breeding with humans going on.

i think that there are a lot of demons on earth. the vast majority of them reproduce in some way. others are immortal. other's still live in different dimensions. there.
