I think it's the hair since they won't let Sam have it longer. I liked it in the 4th season. Janet has really nice red hair. My hair sucks it's thin & straight & brown

Actually I don't like Janet's hair lately; I preferred it in Seasons 1 & 2, her natural color, it just looked shinier and striking. Oh, well, that's why they call it opinion.

Her hair in season 1-2 at least, and in X-Files and in "Best in Show" is a darker, richer brown.
