After looking at the image again there's a few constructive comments I can make.
I would either re-design the pyramids or re-texture them. The nature of the pyramid design was blocks of stone, if the pyramids in the scene are close to the viewer then this would be visable. As I understand the egyptians only smoothed off the tops so they reflected light for miles around.
If you intend the pyramids to be the focal point (and therefore not the gate) then a re-position of the camera would show this effect better.
Perhaps looking up through the gate to the two pyramids (without or without the water effect - which is a great texture btw).
It's always a good idea to have a theme for your designs - something which projects something more than a gate, dhd and some land.
I always try to think of a theme - sketch it out on paper and then transfer those thoughts to the computer.
