Yes I remember reading that somewhere too. Kind of a strange set of affairs, isn't it? I really wish sg1archives can make a comeback. I thought 1.75 hours was a long download until I went to other sites where it is more like 3 hours on 56K, and a heck of a lot of additional software. We have no fast connections where I live (yet- says At&T but I don't trust them any more than I trust Showtime), but I am grateful for what I have managed to get.

i live in australia and i have all the eps from there before they went down, but im gradually replacing them with VCDs/DVDs

as for season 5, im finding alternate sources for the files (better quality 80mb ones)

Kegsta: Yes you're right about the larger files but again without a faster connection it's a long download. V&S has been great* as were the other websites before the MPAA got on their case or whatever other reasons.

*(I understand Phillip says he is no longer available to provide the new episodes, however.)

I am not concerned with high quality; Showtime - the rats - will *eventually* air them, I think, unless they are holding those new episodes prisoner like hostages to try and get more money from their unhappy subscribers.

I'm sure you can tell I am one of those displeased with Showtime.

By the way can you email me and tell me what alternate sources you are finding? Just to compare notes. See if there is something I'm missing. I'm still pretty new to this video download game.

yes i reccomend against posting links on public forums, you never know who is reading them.

It's supposed to be be the first website reviewed in the official fanclub newsletter - I hope they know the site is offline or they'll be looking very silly

I feel sorry for those that haven't even seen Season 4 yet !?!

Feel sorry for Chicago. Our syndi was Fox station and that had all the sports specials all fall. Messed up the season 4 quite well. Also the station bumped it from the 11pm Sunday night slot. That worked for me. They seem to think Buffy belongs there. Thing is they don't announce "next week at it's new date and time" before they do it! Arrrrrgggg!

Yes, I was subject to the whims of the local FOX station, too- before I got Showtime. But look at it this way: right now, Showtime isn't doing much better. At least the syndicated sg1 was *free*. I used to go to a website that had very up-to-date TV schedules - all the last minute changes - they are gone now but perhaps you can find one similar?

Anyone have any links to reliable schedules?

As to all the sports running over and mangling our favorite shows: And they wonder why we seek out net downloads to see them intact!

if phillip cant get them, that means V&S will probably have a hard time getting them aswell. i should beable to get the WOW caps of them, but on 56k its hard for me to do.

as for posting URLS in forums, who cares, i very much doubt that anyone browses forums looking for sites to shut down :evil:

if i find a pub with any wow caps then ill pass it on the the V&S admin and im sure he will convert it to shitness quality.

BTW does anyone know when the second 1/2 of summit airs?

As I understand there are people who are paid to do just that - protection of intellectual copyright is a big ball game. Just look at previous shows that have had web sites about them closed down in the space of a week ...
