Teenage Mutant Turtles!

in the us back in the late 80's burger was giving away the toys in the kids meal and with the purchase of a whopper you got a video
 
wow. all we get her in the uk is cheap little plastic figures!
 
yeah in the us back in the late 80's you got a video if you purchased a whopper meal..... its the episode where she's at the costume ball and confused with some princess..... good stuff
 
im sorry.... if i could find a way to access the episode on the net i would Sin..... i sowwy

my fave was and dare i say still is raphael
i loved the whole show even though if i hear the theme tune now i shudder
 
For its time the TMNT cartoon was quite ahead of its game; it was the first really self-referential cartoon. These days there all over the place like a rash, but the turtles were first.

The cartoon, btw, was based on the comics by Eastman and Laird, and they were truly great. They contained a lot of the elements that made it into the films and the toons, but they were a bit darker and eminently readable.

I think I've seen images from the comics. If it's the ones I'm thinking of they are a bit darker.
 
I'm sure it was the turtles that made pizza popular!

I sort of remember this show as I did used to watch it every now & then, but seem to have forgotten the names of them though:blush:

What was the 21 with the blue bits called as he was my favourite
 
Leonado was the leader and wore Blue Weapon: pair of Swords

Donatello was the smart one (engineer/inventor) and wore purple Weapon:Bo-Staff

Raphael was the rude one and wore red Weapon:two samurai daggar things

Mikealangelo was the goofy one that liked pizza the best and wore orange Weapon: two nun-chucks
