episode 1:16 'Shuttlepod One' SPOLIERS

Episode Title: 'Shuttlepod One'
Episode Number: 116
Original Airdate: February 13, 2002

Rumoured to feature Tucker and Reed stranded in a shuttlepod when they return from a mission - only to find Enterprise apparently destroyed. Also said to focus heavily on Reed's character.

Rick Berman: "There is a show that Brannon [Braga] and I are working on right now which is a strong episode for Trip and Reed and I think will bond those two characters together."

Rick Berman: "We just started shooting an episode now in which Trip and Reed are in one of the shuttle pods and they're convinced, wrongly convinced, that Enterprise crashed and that all hands were lost -- and because they have no sensor array and no radios and very little air -- that it's just a matter of a few days before their time runs out. So we've got two men in the freezing cold. To shoot this we refrigerated a portion of the set. That let vapour out of their mouths. But we just have two men in a shuttlecraft, thinking they have only two days to live, and finding a bottle of bourbon. It's a wonderful story. It's a wonderful change of pace and a good bonding show for a couple of our characters. It's called Shuttle Pod Two."

Shuttle Pod Two?? In the thread about the 'Equilibrium'/'Fusion' episode I thought Rick Berman ought to be the authority on episode titles, but every other source gives this as Shuttle Pod One, so who knows?

I just saw the preveiws for Shuttlepod One online, and it looks really good.

I wonder if this is really what it seems? :)

I finally saw this episode, and it was great!! I wonder if Trip and Malcolm will become closer after all of this?

this episode was good - like it a lot -

i like character development eps -- esp when they're about characters that i really like! :)

tho, after a few minutes, Reed's log entries were annoying - but i understand why he was doing them -- and i understand why Trip wasn't - and was doing what he was doing ---

and i love the little mashed potato 'MacGyverism'! MacGyver would be so proud!! ;)

I love what Trip said after a few too many log entries.

"Mr. and Mrs. Reed, I realize that you've just begun a period of mourning, and that I'm never going to get an answer to this question, but I gotta' ask it anyway. Was Malcolm always this cynical?" Trip

yeah - that was funny -- and ya know -- i probably would have been at that point by then too - if not sooner ---

was a very good episode -----

Definetly a good character development episode. Good to see a bit more about Reed.

Good interaction between Reed and Tucker. Also loved the end where Reed says to T'Pol "don't you have something to tell me"

Really enjoyed this episode.

I liked the part when they are drinking the whisky and Malcom coments on T'Pol's "bum". Malcom's dream was funny too.

:blpaw:

yep - i agree --

the whole episode was well done --

it's not one of those where one section w/ one group of characters is exciting and the other section w/ the other characters is boring --- it meshed very well!

nicely done!

Has this episode aired in the US yet... or is it on Wednesday

My mistake that was last wednesday's episode... not seen it yet... still trying to get through all the mail and cd's that i got while away..

Sometime i wonder if its worth going away.. all the work u have to do to catch up..

Anyway will watch it tonight

it's always worth going away --- well - depending on what you did -- if it was a 'fun' trip - yes -- if it was 'business' - forget it - i'd rather go to work -

and yes - we're in reruns now here in the US -- UPN just ran 2 eps from earlier - and pre-empted the 2nd one for basketball - of course - it was 'Fortunate Son' - which i think i didn't watch all of the 1st time -- stupid UPN --

They are idiots aren't they?

UPN? yeah - they pulled a similar stunt w/ Buffy too -- grrr argh!

anyway -- to stay on topic here ---
gotta say, the 'tv dinners' they get to eat look truly appetizing, no?? <insert sarcasm> (why is there no 'sarcastic smilie'?? ;) )

I watched 'Shuttlepod One' and thought it was an ok episode.. not one of the better ones..

Good to find a little more out about Trip and Reed but no action..
