Yeah Friday is good for me...I do have cocktail party tickets but I see no reason why we can't meet before that...depends on what time you guys are getting to the hotel.
Anni, Summer and I are going to be there around 3pm ish....

Well, what about giving mobile phone numbers away?
I guess most of you have mobile phones and since Pam, Anni and I will meet at the hotel and Skip, you and some others are meeting over at St. Giles we could exchange numbers in case something goes wrong...just a thought...

Well I already have Pamie's number which is just as well, seeing as how she's picking me up! Annette thanks for your number, I have PM'd mine back to you. I guess I'd better remember to leave the damn thing switched on. The only trouble is that if there's a problem at work, then they call all of the mobile numbers they have..... including those people who aren't meant to be duty dog!

I will see everyone on Friday (?) Although of course, I won't be at the cocktail party. I'll just find the bar instead I think.... and wait for all of the starry eyed MS lovers to drift down from the party.

Oops forgot to say, that if Xst reads any of this, I will probably be in the main convention area on the Friday night. Beside one of the doors there is an area with big squashy sofas where Pamie and I sat last time. I will probably go there and chat with whoever else has turned up. Who knows? maybe that demented Scotsman in the kilt will be there again. He was good for a laugh!

I've given the whole meeting-up thing a great deal of thought, and have come up with a cunning, highly sohpisticated plan;

I'm gonna steal some white labels from work and write "Asci-fi.com Mishkaz" on one and stick it to my jacket.

Waddya think?
I know it'll require a lot of preparation to execute this plan efficiently, but I'm willing to risk it.
Anyone else?

What a bloody good idea Mishkaz.... I think we might have some badges at work, the ones they use for conferences and big meetings... I could nick a couple and make them for Pamie and me along the same lines!

What do you reckon Pamie? If you're listening that is!

And also I will give you a buzz sometime in the middle of the week to make sure you're okay with the way to my house!

I am so looking forward to meeting all of you, this should be such fun!

hehe, thanks Anni. My other plan was to suggest that we shout "Oh For crying out loud" at everyone who entered the hotel, but I came to realise that this was probably a good way to get thrown out of the building (and I've promised myself I will only get thrown out of a building once I'm good and drunk )

Another useful tip was suggested by Cynvision. She took some readymade business cards with her to Gatecon which had got her website and email addie on them to save people having to scrat around for a pen and a piece of paper, I thought that was a damn clever idea.

They have those cheesy little machines at most motorway service stations now which will print you up some cards for about 3 quid.

It'll give me summink to do while I'm scoffing my KFC on the way to heathrow

LOL.... I'm not sure you would get chucked out for saying that. But you might find a few people you didn't bargain for answering the call! You'll find that the Heathrow Park will be crammed to the gunnells with Stargate fans in all shapes and forms. I doubt that anything you could do would surprise the hotel staff much!
