just annoyed

I don't mind reading spoilers, I'm bad like that, it ruins the program when you watch it, knowing whats gonna happen......
........oh well never mind, that aint gonna stop me :D hee hee

I liek spoilers casue I can then look forward to the show, even if peopel are complaining & pointing out bad things I like to look for them.

back to the topic, what really bugs me is, one shot from the zat is supposed to stun you right? How come some times our guys..& gall get stunned & pass out & other times they just shake it off, eg. that ep when Haley first comes on..the one with the glowing life forms that remind me of fire flies.

I can stand how everytime they find some new thing on a planet, Jack's if it's safe & Sam says I think so it's turned off...& of course we know what ever it is then comes alive usually by them turning it on & it tries to take over or destroy Earth!

He's right. SG-1 got so bored with doing the same old same old that they brought in a few relief actors.

I know what you're talking about. In "Seth" I blamed it on the nista <sp> they all had controlling them. The zat shot disipated in that. But I've long been commenting that O'Neill and co. have been "shaking it off" as you say, Skoon. I think one way or another they'll explain it by saying that people get resistant to it with continued exposure.

I could make up that it's the distance from gun to target. That would make some sense in terms of physics where energy would decrease with distance. My goodness, would my high school physics teacher be proud of me!

well I'd like to believe that more exposure gives more resistance, but alas it doesn't as Jack ol' boy get's knocked out by one in S5. & distance doesn't seem to work either. Teal'c shot Jack at a very close distance...again in that first Haley ep. why does the stuppid name allude me?

it was "prodigy" - just watched it last night :wink2:

oh and, in that ep, after teal'c had shot jack, they used some form of smelling salts to bring him around - he was in convulsions on the floor at first.

but i agree - use of zats are extrememly unpredictable effects-wise....
