MS on UK TV

Cool. I'm not that bothered, probably read it wrong or something. :p

So what is MS doing these days

Just had a look at IMDB to see what projects MS has been working on. Not an overly impressive list really -- he's far down the cast list playing characters without names in several cases.

He's got talent and looks, but often plays the same sort of parts. "Mary 25," "Manifest Destiny," and "Escape From Mars" -- even the episode of "Andromeda" -- were remarkably similar. He makes a great intellectual techno-geek, but it is time to move on.

Much as I enjoyed his portrayal of Daniel, I hope he gets to stretch out and do really different things. I know he likes stage work, but have no idea if that's his current meal ticket.

Yeah I agree and I think he does too....

He has said himself that he would like to try different roles and play different characters so heres hoping! :rolly2:

Ah, but can MS be evil?

I often weigh an actor's talents by how much variety he'll take on -- good guys, bad guys. The juiciest parts usually fall to the villains and it would be interesting to see MS get to play the "bad guy."

I have seen him play villains of a sort (got to be careful about those spoilers), but in both cases his character was disguising his intentions until the last moment -- which means mostly he played his sweet polite self.

Some one remarked that perhaps MS is just too "Canadian" to be really evil -- no offense to my northern neighbors, but you do have a reputation for being terribly polite :)
