If Archer had a cat, would people hate him more?

I do like Archer. One of the reasons why I started watching Enterprise was due to the fact that Scott Bakula was in it and also being a trekkie person felt I had to give it a go.

People do have their own opinions but I feel the general concensus on this board is that peeps like him.

Or, alternatively, the situation in the DS9 episode (i think it's called "Our Man Bashir"), where some transporter incident leaves the dog as a participant in the holosuite. Has anyone seen "Cats and Dogs"??? Bwahahhahah

I'd probably love him more for it. I'm a cat lover. but I like Porthos and it makes Archer seem more real to have a dog.
