D0 you have one?

I don't think I should vote on this just yet, as I haven't seen Monsters Inc...

Ice Age
Toy Story
Toy Story 2
Antz
A Bug's Life
Monster's Inc
Shrek

Please feel free to suggest any additional movies - this is all I can think of right now!

Hi Jenni

Welcome to ascifi! And congrats on being the third person to vote on my poll - but give everyone else a break, the poll has only been up for two hours or so!!!!!

If you liked this poll, check out another similar one that has been around for a lot longer:
Disney Cartoon Poll

I voted Shrek, though I didn't think it was brilliant. It was better than the other choices though, and I ain't seen Ice Age yet.

I'm not really a fan of digital animation.
I mean, it looks great, but as an animator I like to draw things myself rather than have a computer render everything for me. :D

I love all of those movies except Antz and Ice Age(I haven't seen it yet, but I want to) I thought Antz was a little to adult.
:blpaw:

Personally, I like 'Toy Story 2', but 'Shrek', 'Monsters Inc.', 'Bugs Life' and 'Toy Story' are close behind.

I didn't like 'Ice Age' much!

One you missed was Disney's 'Dinosaur'.

(I guess you can't include 'Jurassic Park' and 'Jumanji'.)

Good call Dave - Dinosaur should probably be in there, although I cannot imagine anyone voting for it myself. Would you, or any other mod or super-mod reading this care to add it for me? Cheers.

I really enjoyed Ice Age - it was a pretty basic and predictable story, but well done. Nothing out of the ordinary, but lovable characters and it looked great.

Now that's a bit better....

I just came back to see if anyone else has voted and i c that shrek is still winning i love the bit with the puppets in!!!!!!
Oh yeah and i agree with u that Toy Story 2 is good (i think Tour Guide Barbie is just brilliant at the end!!!!):rolly2:

No, I can't see Dinosaur winning the poll, but I can add it for you.

Thanks Dave, now to see if anyone will vote for it!

Oh yes, good point - I haven't seen it, have you? Is it good?
Any mod/supermod want to add it?

:alienooh:

What's dinosaurs like?
I never saw it. My mate really enjoyed it but she likes anything that isn't scary

I saw it on a plane - it wasn't bad considering all the interuptions and children crying (!). Simple story and it looked pretty nice, but very similar story-wise to "Tarzan" IMO.

It's pretty good. Although the plot is just a variation on the cliched "Aliens invade scenario" it has much more depth than you might expect and more than a few hidden subtexts.

I voted for Shrek, not that anyone cares. Great animation, great story, crappy rendition of great Leonard Cohen song, but you can't have everything.

Now, 'tis time for me to pic on Nic. What's wrong with digital animation? Just cos you're using a computer rather than a pen (or crayons or cut-out figures or string) doesn't make it any less an art form, or any less the work of an animator. You don't make your own cels and ink, do you?

I know you were probably just expressing a preference for the hands-on approach, but as somone who uses a computer for about fourteen hours every day, I must defend our digital chums as a tool like any other; what's done with them is entirely dependent on the user. Even given a beowulf cluster and the Shrek animation software, I couldn't produce anything as good, just as I couldn't reproduce an episode of Futurama if given a buch of acetate and a packet of crayons.
