What is your favourite digitally animated cartoon?

Now, 'tis time for me to pic on Nic. What's wrong with digital animation?

It's not that I don't appreciate digital animation rde, it's like you said, it's just not my favourite medium.
It looks great and I know the animators spend alot of time working on them, I think it just feels sort of cold and technical to me.
These days I actually do all my animation on Flash mainly cos it's the best way to get animation on the internet and to keep the byte size down.
I guess I just miss the days when 2d animation was drawn by hand.

Rde, what art/animation packages do you use?
I only really stick to flash and paint shop pro (I know photoshop is meant to be better though.) I want to get some 3d packages.

I'm equally talented in all forms of animation. That is to say, I'm **** at them all. I did have a rather amusing stick figure dancing in the corner of a book once, but that's about the extent of it.
I'm more of a writer. At least, I try to be. But when figure out the intricacies of flash, you'll be the first to know.

I love shrek its an all time funny film full of adult humour and child humour

hi fellow shrek fan

 :smilej: i agree that shrek is suitable for adults kids (and all those inbetween!!!)

has anyone seen final fantasy here if you have tell me what you think of it I reckon its not all that great

Final Fantasy 'isn't that great' is like saying the titanic bumped into an ice cube. It doesn't convey the pain, the trauma, the intense ennui that comes from watching this plotless wonder.

If all you're looking for is graphics, its' great. But after ten minutes, you've been sufficiently impressed. Then you look for a plot, or perhaps a story. Who knows, maybe even some character development?

An hour and a half later, you're still looking.

Shrek was hilarious but I'm more the Final Fantasy type..that movie was awesome!

you're actually the first person i know that's really liked it. (LOVE your avvy!)

i had to put monsters, inc. i love that movie! i thought it was excellent animation and the storyline was great. it reminded me of the short film they used to always play on disney called monsters in my closet or something like that.

monsters inc. was ok but not brilliant
i voted shrek if u hadn't already guessed!!!!!

i liked shrek, but i didn't think it was as good as everyone made it out to be.

really!!!
it's my second fave film (behind The Lion King - the best film ever in my opinion!!)
well...thats ur opinion i love shrek and nothing will ever change my mind (until maybe another great film comes out!!):rolly2:

well, right now they are in the midst of making a shrek 2 for all you shrek fans (mike myers is going to get like 2 million for it)

right now i really really want to go see lilo and stitch. i know it's not digitally animated, but i can't wait to go see it!

(p.s. i get to go see the lion king musical when it comes to town next month. i can't wait!)

sheesh* $2 million for speaking someboy else's words into a mike - I'll take some of that action

i voted for final fanasy because that movie was the best animation movie that i have ever saw i mean the detail of every character and every event was really good.

If I was voting for best over all (plot, design, sound, etc.) I'd vote for Bug's Life. But I'm not voting best over all. Ha! I'm voting for the movie that knocked my socks off visually. So I'm gonna go with Final Fantasy.
I've done some digital animation and I can definitely appreciate the work that went in to that (all of those movies, actually). But FF just flipped me--it was incredible.

Hey, nic, you'll be happy to know that Lilo & Stitch is completely hand drawn (the old fashioned way);) . And that looks good.
