What do you want to see in the next book?

For example, do you want to see Moiraine, or Jain finally do something about his ID - the end of Measma - Perrin, Taim, and Rand to all do something - what??

i want the bloody thing to stop focusing on minor charcters for chapters at a time and tell us what the hell is happening with Rand!

 come on jordan.. i'll find you and force you to write the bloody thing if i have to!

Well, the Seanchan attack on Tar Valon for a start. And i want KoD to end with millions of trollocks streaming out from the blight.

And between this?

Struggle for power within the black tower, between Taim and Logain.
Logain will kick his ***, and those black ashaman who flees will join in the blight to act as dreadlords when the big ultra invasion comes.

Rand will meet with the borderland army and ask what the hell they are doing.

He will also meet the false (...why a false really? Tuon is not the only DotNM, right?) DotNM, Suroth, Liandrin, Semirhage...and a male A'dam.

Mat and Tuon will marry.

Elaynes kids will be borned. She will be a queen.

Etc, etc. But this was more what I think will happen, not what I would like to happen. Yeah, but i want this to happen to, I do not want to see Perrin running around in Altara or where ever he is, for yet another book. Kill those bloody Shaido and begon with it...but probably Faile and co will flee or something, with Ronal, who will marry Berelain...though I would not mind if he married Faile and went...somewhere. Perrin can take Berelain, she is a nice girl...really. I like her.

A return to the quality of the first few books! Honestly, he should get a new editor, who actually cares about more than just making money:( Unfortunately, as its his wife, this could prove a little tricky:(

Well I simply want action in Book 11! Crossroads of Twilight was one of the hardest reads of my life. But as far as actual characters .... I would think Rand will probably confront and kill another Forsaken so that should be interesting. Also, Min not only viewed Elayne becoming pregnant but Aviendha as well ... and there will be something "strange" about Avienda's babies. So hopefully Jordan may elaborate a little more on that. I still find it funny that Rand has 3 women in his life, all of which don't care about the others. I want to know how he pulled that off, lol.

Haven't Aviendha and Elayne become sisters? They have accepted each other and even come to like and respect each other. Min on the other hand hasn't been around the other two as much...

Yes I guess they are sisters of the shawl, or Aiel, or something ... which to me makes it even more unbelieveable that sisters share the same man, haha.

In an interview, or maybe question of the week, Jordan claimed that he himself once where dating two girls at the same time. So he thought that if he could pull that of, then Rand should be able to pull of having three girlfriends...

Actually, it's more the demand from the fans who want the books out NOW that screw up the editing. From what I've read, once Jordan finishes writing a book it goes directly to the printer. So in other words, there is no editing (or at least that is the case with the last 4 books)
However, I think Jordan has demanded a full editing for book 11, so we'll just have to wait a little longer for that one.

to be perfectly honest, id be rands girlfriend, so i expect they dont really care as long as they get to be his girlfriend sometimes!

Geez, women are just awestruck by men with power  . And happy first posting aroura, welcome to the forums!

I'd like to see more Mat.
He's the only character in the whole series who seems 'real' to me. He'd rather be down the pub than defeating the "Nameless One"

Rand seems to noble and 1-dimensional and I just don't 'get' any of the Elayne, Avi & Min thing.
Perrin is another good character but doesn't actually seem to do anything - just wander around with his merry band of soldiers...

I think that whenever the story shifts away from the 3 tavaren (sp?) then the focus is lost and you're just trudging through the chapters to get back to the meat of the story. I think Jordan has over complicated the plot and is now paying the price.

Back to the actual question. In the next book, I'd like to see:
1) More focus on Taim and the Black Tower - what are they REALLY up to? I don't think it's as simple as turning to the 'dark side' (at least I hope not)
2) More focus on Rand - now that the taint's gone then he should no longer be going crazy and therefore we should never again hear from Lews Therin. If we do, he'd better have a good explanation...
3) A conclusion to the whole White Tower thing. I'm just getting sick of it
4) Ditto for the renegade Shaido - kill them already
5) More Seachan & Sea Gypsies (I can't remember their proper names.. )
and lastly 6) Start killing the Foresaken and no more "back from the dead" cop-outs

I'd like to see Rand get a good spanking for being a brat.

I'd also like to see all the female characters get a good spanking...for personal enjoyment :) ....but also because they are on the whole bloody annoying :)

I'd also like to see Moiraine back :D

Yah I too would like to see Moiraine come back. That and more action with Rand, cuz he has a long way to go it seems before the series can finish. Oh, I like the new avatar Tsuj.

1) A continuation of the plot - up to a point where he can finish it in the next novel.
2) much less description
3) An end to the braid tugging, foot tapping etc
4) Portraying the characters much more realistically

...

A lot of things, but if he returned to the quality of the first few books, that would be good enough for me. If I hear it's anything like Crossroads of Twilight, I won't bother reading it because I won't miss anything.

Yes, the quality of the first 4-5 books is what got me into this series in the first place, just a pity things have gone down hill a bit since then..

I don't want much just an end to this series SOON PLEASE so I don't have to wait another 10 years for the final book to come out. Waiting for Martin is bad enough so someone give me a break *Sighs* LOL!
