1) A continuation of the plot - up to a point where he can finish it in the next novel.
2) much less description
3) An end to the braid tugging, foot tapping etc
4) Portraying the characters much more realistically

A lot of things, but if he returned to the quality of the first few books, that would be good enough for me. If I hear it's anything like Crossroads of Twilight, I won't bother reading it because I won't miss anything.
Yes, I remember one Christmas opening a present and delighted that is was a hard cover or Crossroads of Twilight! The next day I got a chance to start reading it and it was so boring, I began to flip pages skipping to the good parts, at least thats what the plan was. Only problem was I never did find any good parts.
I would like to have my mind cleansed of all the boring twaddle I had to indure while reading this rubbish(got to 9th Book) and have my money refunded. I don't think I'm asking too much, am I?
I'm hoping that the series will end on a high, so to speak. I definitely felt that there was something lacking in the later books, although Knife of Dreams was an improvement.
I'd like to see some of the loose ends start to be tidied up, as well as some of the mysteries revealed (like who Mesaana is posing as in the Tower, etc, not to mention the Asmodean mystery). I'd also like to see a bit less braid-tugging and skirt-smoothing.
