Hmm, isn't that interesting. Could he be reffering to Anubis?

brought up in the writers room, but now we've got a whole backstory

i thought he could be referring to oma dasala's race. the technology fits in. if yhey worked out how to "ascend" at will it would explain window of opportunity.

also from the teaser at the end of descent, he could just mean that we've met "them" in real life. like a preserved person, say in atlantis? THAT would explain why we had three stargates on earth.
