What doesn't kill you makes you stronger! I husked some corn this summer and was the lucky one to have some sort of corn-eating slug squirming away in there. I'm "ewwing" and showing it off, my dad gets out his pocket knife and cuts the cob off below the slug and pronounces it just fine to go in the cook pot. I think because "food comes from the store" we loose sight of just where it really comes from... dirt!

I'm lauging at the lady bug post. You think one is awful? My parents now live in a house out in the "country" (sort of. there's three acres between houses.) that I swear is lady bug shelter central for the winter. All winter long those little "darlings" (hear the sarcasim, folks) are crawing on windows, walls, floors and countertops. We vacuum them off the windows to keep from scaring the guests that visit. Last Christmas, my sister just got fed up with crunching on the occasional bug in stocking feet as she moved around the kitchen.

I had a little venus flytrap. It cought one fly but the fly was too big & killed my more plant :crying:
