Matrix Quiz

:rolly2:

Reptile -- Do you mean the make of phone?

It was a mobile, delivered by a FedEx courier to his work desk.

No idea of the make, but I'm sure Ozmonster does :D

I always liked you Dave.

The anser is:

Nokia 8110i

Laurence Fishburne's first line in one of his other movies was "Welcome to the real world." Name the movie.

oz

Okay... we give up.

Can you ask another question? I wanna play! :D

The answer is: Higher Learning

Here's two more questions to keep the game going. Both have to be answered correctly.

1. When Neo is fleeing from the agents through a marketplace, one of the agents fires at him and misses, exploding a pile of watermelons nearby. This may be an homage to an identical scene in what anime movie?

2. who said this: "To deny our impluses is to deny the very thing that makes us human" ?

oz

sheesh oz and i though i was a fanatic, well i know the awnser to the seconed one but not the first:(:rolly2:

I'm with timdgreat. I know the answer to the second question (Mouse) but not the first.

Seeing as how asking questions that involve knowledge outside the Matrix, can we keep them more focused? I don't watch anime much and I never saw Higher Learning, so I don't have a chance of answering question like these. :(

And I'm assuming that when you asked the second question above, you were asking in the Matrix context. If some philosopher said it before Mouse did, I wouldn't know it.

Yes mouse is the answer to the second question. These questions are challenging but that's what makes this fun.

pkgrl: if you don't already have it, the answer is just clicks away.

'K, ozmonster. I guess we all give.

What's the answer? And ask another question... but one that's about the Matrix (apparently not enough of us know about anime... unless it's the animatrix) :D

I give up! No idea!

Do we want to move this quiz to the 'Reloaded' forum so we can ask Matrix Reloaded questions too, or keep it here and start a new one there?

Ok I'll answer the q but I would dispute that it isn't about the Matrix. Thw Wachowski bros were significantly influenced byt this anime, and, in fact

****Matrix 2:Reloaded Spoiler Alert***

its plot consists, in part, of a computer that hacks into a human brain and takes control over the person.
This is similar to the Matrix 2:Reloaded where Agent Smith copies himself onto Bane's avatar in the matrix and then controls Bane when he is pulled out into the real world.
There are many more similarities if your intersted.

***End Spoiler Alert**

And without any further adoo, the answer is: Ghost in the Shell

I'm going to make this next q easy to let some other people ask.

The glyphs on the computer screens, with the exception of the call traces, consists of reversed letters, numbers, and what type of characters.

good luck,

oz

hmm wonders for a long time then pulls up his screen saver, nope still no idea:(:rolly2:

When Neo meets the Oracle in her kitchen, the Oracle is baking cookies. During the scene the Oracle takes the cookies out of the oven and brings them to the table. How many cookies are on the Baking tray?

Man, Dave! Makin' me put the DVD back in, eh?

You're evil. But I like it. :D

She had six cookies on the tray. :D Mmmmmm. Cooookies.

What visual signal inside the hotel (just after the Oracle scene) is a clue that a battle between good and evil is about to ensue?

Been reading the essays... can you tell?

The tray that she offered Neo had six cookies, correct!

But this is meant to be a film continuity error. I can't see it myself, but the tray that she takes out of the oven supposedly only has four cookies. So I would have accepted the answer four as well.

I don't know what visual signal you mean. Morpheus adjusts his glasses and Neo bites his cookie. Is there something else that I missed?

Not at the Oracle's apartment, but in the hotel afterwards. It's kind of an obvious sign... a visual clue of good and evil.

(And I did notice that it 'looked' as if the tray originally had four cookies, but the only time we see it clearly she has six on it... which is why I went with that answer.) :D
