Anyone else read Age of Unreason series by Keyes?

I've only read the current series and they're pretty good

I just saw Newton's Cannon at amazon in a search for something else so I was intrigued. I'm definitely going to have to check it out, see if my library has a copy.

Read the first three books (of the age of unreason series) and hope to find the paperback of the fourth sometime, hopefully soonish. For me, the first is best, but one can always hope the finale will bring it back into focus. Still, in my opinion (which is in no way universal) the first volume was very good.

The first book ended in a bleak way and I wondered how it could possibly progress. Can you give any ideas how it progresses without giving too much away
